Please review my smb.conf
Hi Rowland

The Pi has a fixed IP address and hostname. I see:
$ cat /etc/hostname
RPHS
$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by resolvconf
nameserver 208.67.222.123
nameserver 208.67.220.123
So the DNS seems arbitrary. I don't understand what the DNS should be for a

One Way Audio
I am having trouble with no return audio on inbound calls. I have been
working on this for 18 hours and even built a fresh server and moved
everything over and I am getting the same results. I need someone that can
help get this resolved tonight. I can provide access to all machines
involved.
Please email me at tim.compnetwork at gmail.com if you can help.

Modules, namespaces and variables
Hi there,
After quite a long time out of puppet business I''m back, and the first thing
I''m doing is rephrasing my puppet manifests using modules. I started with
the NTP module (a classic, I guess). I have (more or less) the following:
In modules/ntp/manifests/init.pp:
$ntp_localtime = "/usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Madrid"
class ntp {

If your rpi has the fully quallified domain name of 'rphs.example.com'
and the ipaddress 192.168.0.2, you should get:
rphs
rphs
example.com
rphs.example.com
192.168.0.2
If you do not get a domain name, check /etc/hosts, it should contain a
line similar to this:

net ads join's generated keytab and solaris

in both directions for this host, and like I said when creating a keytab from
a user account on windows, manually, this process works.
If I run something like "kinit -k host/mundi@TESTAUTH.NETWORK" I get a
preauthentication failed message. If insted of the mundi I make that fully
quallified I get the client not found in kerberos database error.
I should also mention in order to get this far I had to add supported_enctypes
= des-cbc-md5 and various other lines to krb5.conf to only allow that encoding
as solaris does not allow many types. This successfuly limited my keytab down

newbie desperate for help
I just installed Samba for the first time. Installed and setup like a dream. Unfortunately, I can't login to save my life. The server appears in the Net. Neighborhood, but when I double-click to login, the login window give the following message:
Incorrect password or unknown username for \\SERVERNAME
Entering a username and password (from /etc/passwd) returns:
\\SERVERNAME is not
