[LLVMdev] Register class proliferation
...e postRA scheduler is *cubic* in the size of the alias list. You dramatically improved compile time with this simple fix: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r130801 | stoklund | 2011-05-03 15:31:24 -0700 (Tue, 03 May 2011) | 10 lines Mark ultra-super-registers QQQQ as call-clobbered instead of the D sub-registers. And the new regalloc is not yet designed to scale with the number of register aliases. (But that could be fixed under some limited definition of aliasing). Whereas, I don't see a reason that proliferating register classes would be a problem no...

[LLVMdev] PBQP & register pairing

It is currently a bit tedious to specify these constraints; cleaning that up is on my todo list. /jakob

OHLC Plot with EMA in it
Hi there I have some timeseries data which I plot in a OHLC Plot. In the same plot I'd like to have the EMA of this timeseries. I tried to add the EMA point to OHLC with lines(), but this doesn't work. Has anyone an idea how to handle it? Regards, Michael Zak

[LLVMdev] PBQP & register pairing
Arnaud, another way to look at it, if the description of your register sets includes "pairs", is that your assembly language syntax for MPQD is redundant, operand-2 is the second half of the register-pair in operand-0, so an alternative is to let llvm think this is a two operand instruction (one of them being a pair) rather than a three operand instruction. even

Completely unintended, I might add. Our representation of call clobbered registers is bad enough that it deserves special attention. Every call instruction uses about 1500 bytes for the clobber list, and there are performance issues as well. We a...

Licensing Question
Hi there, I am new to Ogg/Theora and am trying to compare several video codecs as part of my master thesis at the University of Klagenfurt. Therefore I have a question: will there be any patents problems using Ogg/Theora in the future? Is/will Ogg/Theora stay free from patents rights? This would be a great advantage in using Ogg/Theora instead of e.g. H.264 which is covered with numerous
