...give me a diff. E.g. # rpm-file-diff /etc/samba/smb.conf will show a diff output so that I can see at a glance what changes I have made to my local smb.conf file. I already know about rpmdiff but that compares whole packages and not files. Anyway while fiddling with this I have tried "rpm -qpi http://mirror....". Sometimes this works on my local mirror but mostly not (see below) and I have never had it to work on sunsite.org.uk. They are reasoning that Linux kernels do not support this feature and even might not boot if it?s enabled.
