Graphing tc output
Hi,
My HTB shaping is working perfectly, and i have setup a bridge and hosts
behind the bridge are now getting only the bandwidth they are supposed
to get. Thanks to every one here for helping me out :)
Now I am thinking of making a graph of traffic going through various
classes. Is their any thing readily available for it, or is parsing the
output if tc and passing it to rrdtool the

server and phones on VLAN 4, and we're using Polycom phones with a PC
hooked up to the phone's pass-thru port.
What iptables settings are you using on the Asterisk server for DSCP?
What are your Polycom DSCP settings? We're using the Linksys SGE2000P
POE switch which supports QOS via DSCP.
Thanks a lot for any info.

Best inexpensive home office router for VoIP (QoS with maybe PoE)
Hi,
I'm looking for opinions on the "best value" router to use for home offices.
It should work for a scenario in which there are 3 computers and 2 SIP
phones, handling QoS so that the phones always have higher priority traffic
than the PCs. (and not rely on the phones to do the QoS because some PCs may
not be connected to the phones).
QoS could be based on destination and source IP (i.e. an Asterisk server) or
MAC address of the phones. Ideally with PoE, but at thi...

Cisco 7940/7960 QOS?
If I relay through my Cisco 7940/7960, does it do QOS, even with a dumb
switch?
I know you can set quality/qos but only if you have a layer2/layer3
switch that supports the tagging. A simple little linksys 5 port switch
wouldn't know about QOS, it'd give everybody equal priority. If a
computer plugged into the phone, and the phone into th...

ISPs with QoS for VoIP?
I'm wondering if anyone knows of ISPs with service that has QoS
features that would be good to use with VoIP stuff. Granted,
the QoS would only be supported as long as you stayed within
their network, but it might be better than nothing.

QoS in asterisk
Does asterisk provide quality of service(QoS)? If it does, how do I use
it? The reason why I ask is that I need to switch to use POTS should the
internet connection becomes poor?
Thanks,

QoS and IPSec...
Hi, I have what to me is an interesting issue. I am wanting to
prioritize (QoS) traffic that will be passing through an IPSec
(OpenS/WAN) VPN between two (identical) Linux routers. I know that I
can apply the IPSec patches (1-4) to the kernel and IPTables (if they
are not already applied by now) filter traffic before and after IPSec
encapsulation. My problem is that I d...

QoS script for gw without NAT?
I''ll take it from the begining... About one year ago I only had 1 IP and
used wondershaper. It worked great. Now I got /27 (32 IPs) and a gw
computer that talks to two ISPs via a two tunnels. See:
http://www.flashdance.cx/pics/flashdance-LAN.png
I _really_ have a need to do QoS on my connection, for example I host
websites that uses all available upstream. When I download at the same time
it cant respond to ACK''s fast enough so get very slow download speed. Its
also ADSL that I got so I got nice long buffers at my ISPs DSLAMs that
shouldnt be filled.
I have trie...

QOS Script difficulty on bridge
I''m playing with the rather excellent QOS script from Alexander Clouter
at http://digriz.org.uk/jdg-qos-script/
So far I am really impressed with it - a very impressive example of the
power of linux QOS rules (has pretty much everything in it from the
LARTC Howto!) However, the instructions hint that "for QoS to affect
locally...

Open Source QoS .
My router (1605R) currently does not support QoS. Is there any open source

small qos switch
...s running * where all the phone are
on their own lan and all the data is on a separate lan.
The problem is they are sharing the same dsl connection.
The locations are IAX2 trunked together, but it only takes
one data down/up load to just kill the voice.
What I am looking for is a small switch with QoS that I
can stick in ahead of the dsl modem. Plug in one connection
from the voice lan and one from the data lan.
I have found quite a few 24 or 48 port switches that will do
this, but I really do not need anything that big. There are
already switches in place.
Any recommendations please?
thank...

QoS book
Hello all,
Can anyone recommend a good book which thoroughly explains QoS from a
Linux perspective? Something with TC examples & the like. I''ve looked
at the following:

FW: QoS extension to Net-SNMP
Hi.
I did send this to `jaazz@post.cz'', but I suspect the list is a more
appropriate/useful place for it. It''s a question about Michal Charvat''s QoS
extension to Net-SNMP.
When I look at the MIB entries for the QoS handles, I get something like
this -
enterprises.qos.qosObjectTable.qosObject.qosHandle.0.0 = Gauge32: 0
enterprises.qos.qosObjectTable.qosObject.qosHandle.5.65536 = Gauge32: 65536
enterprises.qos.qosObjectTable.qosObject.qosHandle...

[Bug 1997] Add QoS to ControlPath escapes
...What |Removed |Added
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
CC| |djm at mindrot.org
--- Comment #1 from Damien Miller <djm at mindrot.org> ---
The problem with this is that the QoS isn't always known when the
connection is started. We have options for interactive and
non-interactive QoS values, and the decision of whether a connection is
interactive can happen well after the time when the connection is
established - e.g. a multiplexed connection or no-shell sessions that...

QOS Device?
Here is the situation:
A T1 router going into an office which then plugs into the firewall box then
into the switch.
None of these devices support QOS..
Is there some sort of box/device that I can place between the T1 router and
the firewall box which will allow me to prioritize voice traffic on this
link?
I can't change the T1 router to something that supports QOS because it has
certain redundant features with an ISDN line which are nee...

how to make asterisk set cos values
Hi,
examining the network traffic with wireshark shows that asterisk does not set
any QoS values at all.
What do I need to do to make asterisk set QoS values (on Centos 7)?
The wiki says to use vconfig to set QoS values[1]. What does the skb-priority
need to be set to? How do you use vconfig on interfaces that are not VLAN
interfaces?
Is it generally impossible to set QoS values...

QoS net-snmp ?
Hi
I''ve patched net-mrtg http://www.net-snmp.org/
with http://x-ray.prokon.cz/data/snmp/
sucefully
Also I''ve copied QOS.TXT to /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs
when I make a normal use of snmp, with mrtg in order
to monitor all traffic on eth0 and eth1, it works
OK.
But, how must I do in order to get monitor for a
specific class ?
If I make a snmpwalk (like README suggest), I get
a error:
