Why isn't the variable outlet.1.delay.shutdown set with the following
command?
# upsc PW5125 at localhost | grep "outlet.1.delay.shutdown"
outlet.1.delay.shutdown: -1
# upsrw -u au -p ap -s outlet.1.delay.shutdown PW5125 at localhost
Enter new value for outlet.1.delay.shutdown: 10

upsmon says ONBATT when status: TRIM
Hi,
I've been getting emails from upsmon saying:
Subject: UPS PW5125 at localhost notification: ONBATT
UPS PW5125 at localhost on battery
But then the machines on the UPS stay on for hours; we haven't got
that kind of runtime, more like 10-20 minutes.
After a few occurrences, it now happened at a time where I could log

upsd segfault.
Hi all,
Have a strange behaviour that I don't know how to debug.
This is when I use the Eaton PW5125 ups. I have it connected
And running in standby.
Starting up the drivers (pw3105 and pw5125) and they run.
Start up the upsd and can read info from both of them. The 3105 is
supplying the computer and the 5125 have a dummy load.
The 5125 is showing that it is off line. Now when I hit the on line...

The problem is that I had a crash on my backup ;-( so I lost the
paper on the specific commands for 5125.
So if someone have the command specifications on pw5125, can you check
if this is the case for the 5125 that it is impossible to set auto off delay.

Yep the ups is telling that the command has an invalid parameter.
Have to check if there is any difference between the 5125 and others.

NUT with Powerware 5125.
Hi,
Does anyone know how to make NUT works with Powerware 5125?
I already tried serial communication (genericups and bcmxcp) and USB
(usbhid-ups and bcmxcp_usb), but without success.
I'm using the latest version of NUT (2.6.5) under Debian amd64.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks.
Daniel

questions re. patching bcmxcp.c and choosing variable names
I've patched bcmxcp.c such that it can power cycle the outlet load
segments independently on a Powerware PW5125 UPS. I presume that it will
work for any XCP protocol UPS with 2 load segments.
Should these instant commands be called
outlet.1.shutdown.return
outlet.2.shutdown.return
?
Where do the descriptions displayed by upscmd -l come from? Presently it
shows
outlet.1.shutdown.return - Unavailable

Programming problem.
...PS_TOP_DATA_REQ
8a <-- PW_LOAD_OFF_RESTART
8b <-- PW_UPS_OFF
a0 <-- PW_SET_REQ_ONLY_MODE
cf <-- Autorisation command
So this ups does not need to list unused functions like: batt_test sys_test
set_config set_outlet e.t.c when you ask for possible commands.
But if you connect a PW5125 it have all the commands listed in
bcmxcp.h.
It should be some more listed in the bcmxcp.h, like
0x32 (event history block).
My plan was to use a struct and load it with the commands. Then
loop it and set a bool in the struct if it is present or not.
That could be done, but..........?
Then it is...

which driver for Powerware 5125
Hello,
I have a Powerware 5125 UPS and I don't know which driver I should use.
In the compatibility list for the stable branch I see 2 sections for
this model:
5119, 5125 - genericups upstype=15
PW5125 - bcmxcp
Why are there 2 and which should I use?
Thank you.

Accurate battery reports? (HP R3000 XR)
Hi
I have a HP R3000 XR UPS which NUT never says is at 100% battery.
It seems stuck in 98 or 99 . something percentage.
How accurate should i expect the reports to be? All my other UPSes has
been and is at 100%, even those i have retired.
My monitor system runs debian. The host that is physically connected
to this ups runs:
nut 2.2.2-6.4
The web script runs
nut-cgi 2.0.4-4
