Samba password changes?
hi,
i've setup a LDAP server with account information,
and compiled samba with ldap support.
everything works great, except for the password changes
i still have to run two seprate commands ( passwd, smbpasswd )
to change a users password.
i've tried to put the pam_smbpasswd.so module into
system-auth, but that does work?
any pointers?
thanks

Question: concatenating lists
Dear R users,
I have the following problem. I have a number of lists with identical
structure. Each component is a vector, matrix or array, but components of
different lists may be of different size. How do I combine the lists to get
a new list such that each component of this list contains the components of
the individual lists?
An example may explain most clearly what I need.
Suppose I have

Enabling IMAP namespaces for existing folders
Hi.
We're using dovecot 1.0.3 with a very very simple setup; specifically,
there are no namespaces defined. Users have been puttering away happily
for many months, creating subfolders and whatnot with (almost) zero
problems.
We'd like to start taking advantage of shared IMAP folders. I've been
reading over the dovecot wiki and have only one question that I don't
see documented. The docs point out that if we def...

AEL Question
I've been puttering around with extensions.ael, and had a question. (Well, 2 questions, but they're related).
First, would asterisk recognize any other .ael files as asterisk extension language?
Second, is there a way to #include another file from extensions.ael like there is from extensions.conf?
TIA

config problems
I would like to set up a small local network thru my router. I'm using

to my main machine Windows 98. At present I don't have smbd running or
nmbd. I don't see how to get them running. I'm a newbie so I have
trouble getting around in shell. I'm trying to make athe switch from M$

SCO & R
I apologize if this has been addressed before;
recently
I read an article in Forbes which discussed how SCO
was going after companies that have been using Linux.
The article made the point that the ideas behind GPL

wilcoxon-pratt signed rank test in R - drug-effiacy
Hi.
I'm going to introduce the R-package for a group of medical doctors later
this week and is a little confused about there use of a test named
"willcoxon-pratt" for testing if the clinical and biochemical markers has
decreased significantly after the use of some drugs for a group of patients.
Looking into the R-functions I would in R recommand using a matched-pairs

Another possible tracing feature for TableGen
I hacked around a bit with the simple case of tracing just classes and defs (no multiclasses or defms). Below you will see my test file and then the output produced. Note that the regular output from the PrintRecords backend follows the trace, so you can see the final classes and records there. Once the trace can be selective, it makes sense to add another option for PrintRecords that restricts
