How to skip errors on doveadm backup for migration ?
...My problem is that doveadm backup exits with an error if it cannot read a mail.
Is there some way or option to make doveadm backup just skip the errors and continue with the next message ?
I want to use doveadm sync because it preserves the uids of the mails.
Imapsync works great but does not prserve uids.
cyrus2dovecot is not an option because it does not work incremental and conversion would take far too long.
Any ideas what I can do ?
Thanks

smbd spawns
...d smbd and nmbd.
Logged out of NT user account and logged back in.
Tried to acces the shares on Linux
The message box I get is,
\\myhost\root is not accessible
The handle is invalid.
On Linux, now I see 2 processes of smbd running. Why is smbd spawning?

Unix .TXT vs DOS .TXT files
...h extension TXT. There are
plain text files. On NT, TXT is associated with the "notepad" and opens
with the file as one long string. This is the typical CR/LF conversions
between Unix and DOS.
Can Samba convert the text files based on the client?

revision of posting guide
I've placed a revision of the posting guide at http://pws.prserv.net/tap/posting-guide-draft2.html. (Posted there to make the HTML formatting easy to read.) I've tried to incorporate the suggestions people posted and mailed to me. Quite a few were of the form "too long, but you should add this..." :-)

NT client setup
I have installed smbd/nmbd version 2.0.6 on linux. I have read through the FAQ.
Is there any document, that explains what needs to be done to setup on a NT workstation?
I am trying to access the NT printers from Linux.
Any pointers appreciated.

Can't print to NT printer
...think it's required). When I issue
the print command,
$ lpr myfile.txt OR lpr -Plp myfile.txt
the job remains in the queue and does not go to the printer. The printer
on NT is set to "shared".
Any ideas appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

CRLF/LF Conversion
Hi everybody!
I hope that you are not already "pissed off" of all the crlf/lf conversion
discussion between dos and unix ;-)
Concerning that topic I have a question / suggestion:
This is what we have:
We are using a Win NT 4.0 Server with Win95 clients. Additionally we have a
Sun (Solaris 2.5) running in the same network. To access the Sun in character
mode we use a terminal

Samba newbie question

The SMB documents talk a lot about the Client and Server. The source I have downloaded
will create a smbd and nmbd.
1. Do I need anything running on the NT?
2. Do I need any special options in the kernel compile to be turned on?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #4041 - 11 msgs
...t the Polarity parameter is set to 0 or another
valid value, and try cycling power to the ATA. If still no loop
current, you probably have failed hardware.
However, if there is loop current, but no dial tone, it may be
a registration issue. Check that the ID and password values
are correct. Use prserv, Ethereal, etc. to see if you are
registering correctly. If so, and still no dial tone, this is
probably also a hardware failure.

miserable time with Cisco ATA186
I'm having a horrible experience getting a Cisco ATA-186 to work with *.
I can make calls from the ATA with no problems. However, incoming calls
make the ATA ring once, and then the call is disconnected. I have no
problems with my Sipura 2000 or my Grandstream phones.
I am running 2.16.1 sip code on the ATA 186. Neither * nor the ATA is
behind a NAT. They are both on public IP addresses
