Difficulties in interaction between R and latex (prosper)
Hello, folks! I'm trying to use R as a graphics program, to make some
pretty graphs that will go into prosper slideshows.
I wrote this fragment, from the R manual, into a file demo.R:
x=seq(-3,3,0.1)
postscript("cm_test.eps", width = 4.0, height = 3.0,
horizontal = FALSE, onefile = FALSE, paper = "special",

PDF slided (beamer or prosper) to an editable PPT
Hello, I am getting requests to place our PDF slides (output from
beamer) into Microsoft Powerpoint formats (.ppt). What's the best
practice or any recommended software packages (any success with open or
commercial) that we can use to convert PDF slides into an EDITABLE
powerpoint deck?
Thanks in advance.

Printing ps pictures with transparent b'ground
Hi all
I wish to create a ps file of a picture produced in R.
With my limited R, I see two ways:
1. Print direct to the postscript device
2. Print to the screen, and save to ps using dev.print.
I want a white (not transparent) background. Option
1 above works fine, but 2 does not: even when I say I
want a white background, I get transparent; perhaps I
misread the help files.
Here's some R

orientation of eps files
hello,
i have a problem with the orientation of eps files produced with the postscript() command. i have generated some eps files with R using:
postscript(file = filename, horizontal = FALSE, paper = "special", onefile = F
ALSE, height = height, width = width, pointsize = pointsize)
now, when i include these eps files into a standard paper document (ie. a4 paper, portrait orientation)

Appending diagnostic information to all lines sent to stdout and stderr
Dear All
I'm logging the stdout and stderr of an R program into two separate
files (stderr.txt and stdout.txt) using sink()
I would like to append extra information such as "date", "memory
usage" etc to every line of output that goes to stdout or stderr.
For example
> cat("hello \n")
should give output that looks something like:
"hello --- Thu Jun 19

dvd iso's
Well that didn't work. I got a bootable dvd out of it but the
centos installed did not detect the media as having the
installation files. It asked for a cd instead of recognizing the
dvd. Winiso cannot handle dvd's..:( Anyone have a way to make
the centos installer realize all its files are on the dvd instead
of looking for three cd's?

Using Libfuzzer on a library - linking the library to the fuzz target
Hi Mitch,
Thank you for the response.
1. You don't need to build the library with `-fsanitize-coverage=...`,
using `-fsanitize=fuzzer-no-link,address` should be sufficient. -
Acknowledged
2. (although you can actually build object files/shared libraries with
-fsanitize=fuzzer, and the libFuzzer main won't be linked, if this makes
your build process easier). - with just the *fuzzer

I switched my file server's hard disks from a p-2 350 to a p-3
deley 1.1 ghz. I ran kudzu and it detected the new nic and
unconfigured the old one. I may have messed up the static ip
assignment because hte system is not able to do anything on the
network. How do i check the ipaddress asignment and also ensure
the proper linksys LNE-100TX driver is loaded?
thanks.

update_va_mapping_otherdomain
Greetings,
I have a technical question about update_va_mapping_otherdomain.......
I have two components: a C program linked against libxc
and a kernel module which performs the following simple
sequence of events from domain zero:
1. Pause guest (unprivileged)
2. Grabs the PTE associated with a random (but present) page
within the guest''s kernel''s address space

slides in linux R
Hello,
In S-Plus Windows you can transform graphics to Powerpoint very easily, in R Windows you can use enhanced metafiles (.emf) and Powerpoint almost as easy. Is there a simular way with R in Linux to transform to the presentation program in StarOffice or OpenOffice or are you stuck with the pdf device?

I am googgling right now but am unable to find a simpler
description of how to get logrotate to do what i want it to do.
I have a cs 1.6 server that generates quite a bit of logs. That
log generation is going to increase significantly with one of my
plugins i am going to be installing(logD and the impressive

Using Libfuzzer on a library - linking the library to the fuzz target
I am working of using libfuzzer and asan to test out a third-party library.
As demonstrated in the tutorial, I wrote a fuzz target to fuzz a specific
function in the library. The fuzz target is then linked to the library and
compiles clean and I do see some tests generated by the fuzzer. However, I
have some questions regarding the "right" way to go about doing this. I
have doubts that
