extra fields question
Hi, I'm trying to configure the use of plugins per user in dovecot, more specifically, fts and fts_solr. It happen to have other necessary plugins per protocol, for example "imap_quota" which would be specifically for the imap protocol and which does not apply for the lmtp protocol. For this I need to specify that for the imap protocol I have: protocol imap { mail_plugins =

creating subfolders without preceding inbox wanted?
Hello, today I accidentally created a subfolder "Trash" instead of INBOX.Trash. No error was given, the creation lead to the folder ".Trash". If I know this folder, I can also select it. But a "list * * " doesn't show the Trash folder. How could I ever find this folder by the imap-procotol if I don't know it's name? Is this the correct behaviour? Or

(at least from what I've read on the Internet) Strange that it works fine with Mail.app on Mac OS X. So, I installed the latest OpenSSL, compiled, tested and installed. HTTP interface
Hi! I'm asking here if anybody knows about this issue, otherwise I'll maybe disturb xen-users :) I tried (with our packages) to activate the xend http interface... When i connect to it, though, I only can see a white page with two slashes on it, that link back to the page itself... Anyone know what's going on, and if it is a missing dependency problem (in which case we should at

conntrack-tools and Session syncing
Hi folks, I have 2 firewalls, setup with Centos 5.2. They are also routers, connected to 2 upstream routers. I have some cases where connections from servers to the internet leave my network via router2 and answers come back via router1. So I added conntrack tools to both routers/firewalls to synchronize the session tables (using ftfw procotol). That works as expected. If e.g. I ping from

inconsistent browsing info for samba server
Hi there, I have two Samba servers running within an NT domain. One Samba (F-Samba) server runs samba-1.9.18.10 on top of FreeBSD-2.2.8 and the other (L-Samba) runs samba-1.9.18p2-C6 on a RedHat Linux variant. All of our NT machines run NT4,SP4. One is workstation and the rest run server. The PDC is an NT Server (NT1). F-Samba and L-Samba only show up in the browsers of about half of the

Metadata
Having not been reading the list regularly for the past few months, I've been reading through for the past few days trying to catch up. I was wondering what the current state of Vorbis metadata was. Has anything been agreed upon as far as how metadata is to be stored? It seems every time this was brought up before it turned into a large debate and nothing was ever resolved. Tony Arcieri

Machines not disappearing from browse list
Hello, we are using "samba-2.0.6" (running on linux-2.2.14 machine). On our client machines we use "Windows 9x". There are 2 network segments: Segment 1 (192.168.1.0): - 13 Win95 client machines - 1 samba-2.0.6 server ("fsa01") which is WINS, DMB and LMB in its network segment (192.168.1.0). This samba is also the login server for our Win9x clients. Segment 2

Using LDAP, no PDC/BDC, for multiple samba servers
Hi Is it possible to use single LDAP server and multiple samba servers? The problem I'm having now is Each server thinks their host name is their LDAP domain name, or sambaDomainName, and complain the user's SID is different so can't authenticate. How do I make samba servers use one domain name and SID? LDAP domain name is DOMSMB dn: sambaDomainName=DOMSMB,dc=my-domain,dc=com

AW: Machines not disappearing from browse list
I've exactly the same problem. My config looks similar to yours: 1 samba as wins server (wins support=yes" on one segment, 1 samba as "wins server client" (wins server = xxx). The "wins server client" never discards machines from segment 1. I looked at the browse.dat and the wins.dat on the server on segment 1. There are no entries of the shutdowned maschines. Only in

[PATCHv2] vhost-net: add dhclient work-around from userspace
Userspace virtio server has the following hack so guests rely on it, and we have to replicate it, too: Use port number to detect incoming IPv4 DHCP response packets, and fill in the checksum for these. The issue we are solving is that on linux guests, some apps that use recvmsg with AF_PACKET sockets, don't know how to handle CHECKSUM_PARTIAL; The interface to return the relevant information
