First time asterisk installation problem
...sk on my system, the compiplation and
installation process all seem to work fine (make ; make install ; make
samples).
But astersik fails to start. Is the sample configs not supposed to
work out of the box?
Even more confusing, it seems to fail at different points every time I
start it, but this is probobly because of threads starting differently
or something?
I can't really figure out exactly what it is that makes it fail, if
anyone can give me a clue I would appreciate it.
Startup log follows below.

Detailed information.
...ssh1) it DIDN'T happen (the
system was loaded even more sometimes...)
sending a debug information of the server could be a bit problematic as it
means I have to run it on all machines (a few hundreds...) - still, it
seems like a bug that accures due to a high system load... so the sshd is
probobly okay (I connected them one by one doing only exit 0... they all
came out fine... doing exit 0 while distributing got screwd sometimes...)
The sample Mr. Markus Friedl gave me (sh -c 'for i in 1 2 3 4 5 6; do ssh
localhost exit $i; echo $?; done') is irrelevant as it works fine for me as...

IPFW disconnections and resets
Hi,
I am using IPFW on FreeBSD 4.11
I am facing two problems:
- SSH sessions timeout after a while
- When I run "/sbin/ipfw -q -f flush" in the rules script all connection
get reset (and I am thrown out of the box).
Is this standard functioning of ipfw or do I need to change any
configuration?
Thanks,
Siddhartha

pxelinux in Asus P55T2P4
Hi,
as a new user to pxelinux I'm having trouble booting an Asus P55T2P4
from an Intel Etherexpress Pro card with PXE bootrom.
I'm using pxelinux 2.04 (tried 2.05pre2 as well) with a Redhat 8.0
kernel (2.4.18) and ramdisk image (for pure testing purposes).
The Mainboard I use is a P55T2P4, Rev. 2, newest Bios 0207, 80MB Ram,
PCI VGA card and the EEPro.
dhcp,tftp work fine, pxelinux

long words killing HTML display
Hi, I''m trying to use word_wrap to prevent long
''aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa...'' from kill my display
tables in HTML. Problem is that word_wrap doesn''t dissect these long
words and expects to only break them if it sees a ''\n''. Does anybody
know if Rails has a helper to do this, not that it is hard to implement

Alternative to cPanel
Dear All,
Im looking for alternative for cPanel and somehow I read that the 'cwp
control web panel' (http://centos-webpanel.com) and Sentora (
http://www.sentora.ga) is the good alternative for cPanel.
Is there someone using this application and what can you tell about or
recommend.
Thank you all.

Windows changes file ownership & ACL's - any solution?
We have a problem with file security settings changing when
a file is edited by someone who is not the owner.
When the edited file is saved, ownership is transferred to the
person who edited the file. Also, access control settings for the
file are reset to a default setting.
This is a real problem, since in some cases it means that the
original owner of the file no longer has permission to edit

Home shares staying (NT4)
I am having the same trouble with automatically mounted home shares with
samba 2.2.1a (PDC, domain logins, roaming profiles) and NT4WS sp6a. If
I login as one user, logout, then login as another, I can view the
previous users home share as well as my newly logged in users home share
(lather, rinse, repeat...). The NT box has a machine account, domain
logins work, profiles work, login scripts
