Unable to log into a workgroup share after saving password in XP
...nd re logged into the domain, they are all kicked out.
All the people who have not saved the password, can still login ok.
There are no details in the actuall workstations logs on the samba server.
Am I correct in thinking this is a windows error, or could the samba
server be setup wrong?
All I probally need to do is delete the referance to this server and
password in windows, but for the life of me I cannot find it. I presume
it's probally in the registery somewhere.
Googling has not uncovered much so far, but I'm still looking.
Thanks in advance

how to set up the TNT to have voip origination use a certain PRI in the

how I would set the trunk group for origination. Can anyone give me some
friendly advice to try to figure this out?

How do I pass parameters to my program when using WINE?
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out the proper way of passing parameters to my program
that is being run by WINE. I've been trying different things I've found in
Google, but none have seemed to work yet. The parameters work in a Windows
environment, so I do believe the program is okay. This is on a SUSE/SLES 9
machine using WINE .917. If I want to pass the parameter

Four concurrent Markov chains
Hi,
I am trying to write a simulation of the movements of four animals between
six patches. The movement between patches is based on a first-order Markov
chain so that the next patch they visit depends on the patch they were in
before.
I have written code that allows me to simulate the movement of one animal
but when I add more there seems to be a problem and all chains come back as
N/A. I can

Under webrick, the time that list rendering costs will be very soon, but
under apache2.2+mongrel_cluster, the rendering still takes a long time-

bash: rails: command not found
Hey,
I''ve checked my gems env, appears to be fine.
Is there anything else I can check to see why it is not recognising the
Rails command?
I have read a number of post and they all seem to point back to PATH.
BTW: Using Ubuntu OS.
Cheers,
James

R crashes with package SJava; was Memory leakage?
Dear all,
Maybe this has something to do with R crashing?
When my R version crashes, there is Rgui.exe still
running in the background (i.e. W2K's task manager
recognises it only as a process, which apparently
is using almost 100% of the CPU).
I can reproduce that by "using" the SJava package
(from Brian Ripley's homepage, as suggested on
http://www.omegahat.org/RSJava/).

(no subject)
Hi, I have shorewall 2.0.8 installed on a linux box. Recently I moved
to a setup with a front/back firewall
With shorewall acting as a front firewall and M$ ISA Server 2004 acting
as a back firewall. I turned all ''intrusion alerts''
On at the ISA server expecting not to get any since shorewall should
block everything.
Now to the problem:
I am getting quite a few alerts

Can''t find where to put non-index methods for appController
I have a couple of methods that I would like to not be available to the
world as actions in my ApplicationController, but need to be visible to
the methods in my ApplicationController.
This is a dumb question yes, and I know the answer is extermely simple.
Can I stuff them in another class somewhere?
If so, what rails directory do I put it in?
Thanks,

Extract text from Microsoft PowerPoint files
Hello CentOS people,
I'm wondering if there are command tools like antiword and docx2txt for
Microsoft PowerPoint files (.ppt and .pptx). The idea is to extract
text from PowerPoint files. Sorry this isn't exactly about CentOS, but
I'd really like it if Yum has something. I tried xlhtml, but it hasn't
been updated in a while and isn't exactly wanting to work on CentOS

Probally because you allowed them.... OR because the radiation being
transmitted by the sun is so intense that shorewall can''t filter
correctly.
But now honestly, you don''t mention anything in regards to your
configuration, rules etc. How are we suposed to help you?

Confused on URLs to my Rails App
I need a VERY SIMPLE solution to get to my rails app. We have a
WHM/Cpanel linux server with numerous virtual servers on it. I have an

I have written a rails app called "test" that is in /home/mydomain/test,
and it''s rails "root" is therefore /home/mydomain/test/public.
