play message to callee beforeconnecttoincomingcall
Thanks for the suggestion, C F, but the problem is there is a rather big database application behind with many users, so a static configuration is not suitable for my needs. i am working mostly with realtime and agi. regards, roland -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of C F Sent: Sunday, July 03,

Qos, HFSC and VoIP
...r to limite the rate of outgoing packets and also in order to minimiez delay for RTP stream. But I didn''t suceed in having this 2 QoS services working. I use Iptables in order to classify packets. Here is my HFSC conf. In fact the pings that i send from this box should be the most highly priorised packet, but there are delayed when i add load on the link (with a scp upload). What is strange is that the delay of thoses ping is not constant: Does someone have an idea about this issue? Thx for any help romary 64 bytes from 10.10.0.10: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=10.4 ms 64 bytes from 10.10.0.10:...

icmp latency question
Hi, Our company''s main line is quite busy the whole day and my shaping is working perfect, however even if I give icmp priority the pings still jump around quite a bit. We do have a backup line which hardly get used only if the main line drops. I''ve set ip rule to route all icmp through that and now the pings are perfect. Will this make a difference for the game players etc,

Multiple file path for single module in the fileserver.conf
Is it possible to have multiple file paths defined for a single module in the fileserver.conf? For example [files] path /first/path/files path /second/path/files allow * [modules] allow * [plugins] allow * The here described configuration did not work as i tried it already. Any idea if this is possible. Thanks a lot Christian -- You received this message because you are

How can I improve call quality?
Hi All, I've a single 1.2.17 Asterisk system. Gradwell here in the UK is used for PSTN calls via IAX2. Our 'net link is a dedicated 2Mb fibre connection (of which we have ever used 50% max bandwidth). We've no E1/T1 links, everything is IP based. My boss complains that many of the calls he holds with others has a bad quality. He also says that its not just him. My iax.conf file

Bandwith thinking error
Hi, I found that I had some thinking error with the wshaper script. I assigned the bandwith of my DSL connection to it, but the machine where it runs is normally connected to the LAN with 100Mbit behind a separate Hardware-Router.Obviously, the complete connection of the machine was slowed down to 384k because I told it so.I guess, since wshaper takes only one card as argument, I can''t
