Clustered Samba print shares
...ilover between nodes. I added this
node to our NT 4.0 domain and all is well. The print spool directory is a
shared disk that is also failed over between nodes.
The failover process itself (using VCS) works fine and is fairly quick.
However, I currently have the second nodes Netbios name set to Printerserver2.
This was because I ran into issues trying to use the same name as the other
node. At one point, I tried coping over the secrets.tdb file from
Printerserver1 to Printerserver2 and then failing over the cluster. This didn't
work either (bad secret when running wbinfo -t).
What am I missing?...

A Samba's very basic problem
...sion 2.0.7) in a linux machine (distro
conectiva 6.0).
I've configured the global, homes and printers sections correctly, or
at least it seems to be. I've also added my other shared resources in
the smb.conf file.
Then when I start samba server, I can see the netbios name of my
server (\\PRINTERSERVER2\)from some computers (with windows) on the
network, but on some computers I can't. In the first case which I can
see my server (\\PRINTERSERVER2\), there is another problem: I can't
browse into its shares, even if I give the my username's correct
password I've added using smbpasswd...

connection from a Windows station problem
Hi everybody,
I'm having issues with samba. When I try to see my shares from a
Windows 2000 station, I get the following error message:
I've checked the log file, I could see that these errors always have
to do with the /root/tmp folder, whose permissions I think it is
allright:
[root@printerserver2 /root]#ls -la
...
drwxrw-rw- 2 root root 4096 Feb 9 16:54 tmp/
..
So, what's the problem?
Why does this error ( Can't change directory to /root/tmp (Permission
denied)) happen?
I would be so thankful to anyone who could help me on this, I'm really
stuck on this thing :...
