While this doesn't relate specifically to Samba, I need to do this in a netlogon .bat file in a Samba domain. In my network, I have a printer hooked to a JetDirect so that it is a TCP/IP printer. Is there a way I can automatically have this printer mapped/added when the user is logged on? -- Andrew Gaffney

...add the printer without installing. I know that it's possible to add a printer (already installed) in this kind of LAN, because I've seen it (not because of any Micro$oft KB). If start printing immediately is set, the checks do not print correctly. Hi all. I'm trying to use Samba to replace an old Windows print server, and everything works just like a charm - almost... There's one thing, which prevents my organization from accepting this new printerserver, and that is that I'm unable to activate and save the "Enable advanced printing features" setting for the printers - this is used to allow for printing multiple pages onto one page etc. Samba doesn't give any errors, the settings is just cleared the next time I open the preference...

No, I don't.. I'm sorry I wasn't that clear in my last mail. I'm running Samba only as file server. I haven't installed a printer so far on Samba. The printers are installed on the Windows 2000 server. This server is a Domaincontroller, File- and Printerserver.
