3.3.10 <-> AD 2008 R2 very slow
Hi again, I changed from 3.4.5 to 3.3.10 after an AD upgrade to 2008R2 and prinitng is working mor ore less but it is incredibly sloooow. My server has no remarkable load so it is not due to hardware bottlenecks. Cups or Samba?
Hi all! Please help me... Scenario: - linux box, turned on only for developing and printing purposes, printing uses cups and samba - 2 winXP box most of the time turned on The following happened: - installed the latest gentoo distro, updating all the time, prinitng worked fine for couple weeks - 2 days ago it started not to print What I discovered: - after linux box boot it didn't print from any winXP, booting process includes starting cupsd and smbd - but if I reload samba it starts to print - it seems to me samba didnt load printers at the boot proces...

Printing Unsolved: samba-2.2.3a, w2k and point & print (HP printers?)
...0DN with optional tray and duplex unit. Even if connected as root and configuring these things, settings are not passed to "normal" users. All these settings are configured via the configure tab in the printers properties window. You don't find these things in Printing Preferences or Prinitng Defaults windows (accessible via Printing Properties -> General or Advanced). Same holds true for assigning paper sizes to special trays (ntforms tab). If a user who is not in the "printer admin" list connects the printer all these settings are lost. Connecting again as printer admin...

Printing on Samba with WinNT...
Hello! Because I did not receive any useful answer on this issue, I want to ask now the THIRD time. It starts to become critical, because users are handicaped by this stupid problem, so any suggestion is welcome.
