Command "make prep-kernels" not cloning Linux - xen-4.1.0 sources.
Hi! I compiled the xen-4.0.1 in Linux (Ubuntu 10.04), but as usually, the xen-4.1.0 is not behaving in a manner similar to the previous version. Am I required from version xen-4.1.0, transfer the kernel via the command "git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jeremy/xen.gitlinux-2.6-xen" from now? I mean, the "make prep-kernels" command of the xen-4.1.0 no

Automating the preparation of kernel sources
...e kernel sources (into my own rpmbuild tree, not the system) prior to compiling. I followed the info for centos6 here: http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/I_need_the_Kernel_Source#head-a8dae925eec15786df9f6f8c918eff16bf67be0d I can successfully compile and install the module from tarball after manually prepping the kernel sources, but I need to turn this into a proper RPM and am wondering if there are macros I'm not seeing for how to prep the kernel sources as part of a %prep or %build phase. I have looked at many real-world spec files and googled all afternoon and cannot find any info on this. As thi...

hierarchical linear models, mixed models and lme
Dear R-users, I am trying to analyse the data of the box 10.5 in the Biometry from Sokal and Rohlf (2001) using R. This is a three-level nested anova with equal sample size : 3 different treatments are compared ; 2 rats (coded 1 or 2) / treatment are studied ; 3 preparations (coded 1, 2 or 3) / rats are available ; 2 readings of the glycogen content / preparations are realised. rpmbuild: definition of the %prep script
Hi all, in which file is the %prep script defined? www.rpm.org says its a build-in script. Does that mean its defined in some binary? I wonder how %prep handles the setup of locale. TIA .....Volker

GMAT Prep Software on Winebottler
Hey All, I downloaded winebottler so that I can run the GMAT Prep software and was successful in downloading it but i am now running into a few problems. For examples, if there is a "next" icon on the window, I will need to click on it and hit the space bar simultaneously to move on to the next page. I was able to do this on the writing assessment section of the practice test but on the

Amelia_Multiple_Imputation_with_observational_priors_noms
I am fairly new at using R/programming in general so I apologize if I am leaving crucial parts of the puzzle out, but here goes. First and foremost this is the error I am receiving: Error in muPriors[priors[, 1:2]] <- priors[, 3] : NAs are not allowed in subscripted assignments This occurs only when I am using observational priors and some number of nominal variables, it does not

Certified Fraud Prep Exam
Hello everyone, I am new to WINE, and it's abilities. I am trying to run a prep program that is designed for windows (obviously) and I am getting wicked errors. Sadly, the makes of the software have absolutely no knowledge of Linux. I got a direct x error, and fixed it via their solution. That lead to another error, and the vendor and I are working on this problem. I could easily

[PATCH] Fix parsing of boot flag in do_part_get_bootable()
The code in do_part_get_bootable() assumes that if a partition has the bootable flag set, then that is the only flag. It compares the entire flags field with the string "boot". However, the boot flag isn't always the only flag. For instance, POWER systems typically have a bootable partition of type 0x41 (PPC PReP boot), which parted -m displays as: # parted -m -- f18.img unit b

prep for 2.8: scopes and variables: nodes are not classes
prep for 2.8: scopes and variables: nodes are not classes I have been preparing for 2.8 by experimenting with 2.7.X and seeing what it takes to get rid of the warnings. I would like to share my results in a number of upcoming posts. Begin with the simple question of hard-wiring scopes. the ''shocking'' revelation is that variables defined in nodes are no longer visible

Any help needed in prep of 4.0.0?
Hi all, Are there any small patches or further testing that any R-core members would like help with in the preparation to 4.0.0? Sadly @Martin Maechler <maechler at stat.math.ethz.ch> I don't have the numerical optimization chops to be any help with qbeta, sorry. But if there's anything else, small private wishlist items or things that could use another ste of eyes or some testing
