Script to Authenticate User and Dial Out
Hello. I'm looking for a script that I can use that will ask users for a password, and then let them call any extension on the asterisk server. Does anyone know of a premade script that can do this, or a resource I could use to make my own? Thanks, Josh

preload test data from factory_girl
Is there a way to preload common data made by factory_girl to speed up tests instead of recreating these common data at the beginning of every test. For example, I want to have 10 users premade at the beginning of every test. I found this http://agilewebdevelopment.com/plugins/factory_data_preloader But the page says that this plugin does not "play nice" with autotest. But I use autotest. Is there another solution? Thanks. -- You received this message because you are subs...

Drawing schematics
...ticks, arrows, or bars representing treatments done to the patient along the arrow. I would like to generate this sort of schematic for each patient in a database taking information from the database such as time of treatment and type of treatment. Does anybody know how I can do this? Is there a premade R package for this sort of thing or should I try to make a new graphics function? If a new graphics function, where could I start? Thanks in advance. George

inexpensive / reasonably priced workstation / server development box
...have good high speed storage and excellent video and audio etc etc Im thinking of a box that does audio and video development, can easily handle virtualization, and of course do general work apps plus setting up various server processes for testing whether intranet or internet etc etc It can be premade like specific dell or hp (please list component choices for clarity) OR A hand built box with specific list of components that Now, I know this has been done in magazines with great expense, and even with lower expense, yet I trust the list more than a magazine that wants to sell me advertising...

syslinux.exe, 5.01 on xp: Failed to load COM32 file, and more
...l failed: Bad file number > > This works in 6.02-pre16. > 5.01 worked for me in the past. I can't tell if reinstalling XP from scratch, or something else, broke it. I was considering installing a newer syslinux version. But it seems 5.01 is the last version for which there are premade binaries for XP. I never built syslinux from source. I guess I will have to install the compiler and dependencies. Since 5.01 worked for me in the past, I was hoping it will be easier to fix.

vmware 1.0.4 lock up on install
I am not having a good experience with vmware. Twice I have tried it today and it locks up my machine. First attempt was to install centos 4.5 i386. It told me it could not find anything to install on. After a post to the list I was instructed to not do typical, but custom and select LSILogic as the controller. I did and I got past that point. I then goto into an install with 6 minutes remaining

Text Messaging or AIM
...nyone know of a program/extention to asterisk that would allow me to either text message my asterisk box or IM it from AIM on my cell phone to allow it to call me? I've been looking with google yet can't find anything. I don't code, so I'm SOL there, so I'm looking for something premade. I plan on taking a class on perl during the fall semester at my local community college, so if there isn't something like this out there already, maybe I can get one out there.

ADS on Solaris
Hi all, I see that the premade binaries for Samba on Solaris, even recent versions, have ADS support not compiled in. I see more ad domains than nt4 domains these days, so I am going to compile it myself with ads on. I want to ask the experienced if there are any gotchas with ads Samba on Solaris, or something about Solaris tha...

I have no idea why but the package I downloaded months ago (Icecast v2.4.3) came with the batchfile premade and the actual configs seem to be this oddly named file... (I recall being confused as to why there would be TWO config files, but I've seen stranger things in the past so I editted both to reflect my needs...) Standard introductory presentation
...ightily uncomfortable with that, but what the heck. I have been now looking for an "official Introduction to R" in Presentation Format, but lo, there isn't one. There are a few tutorials on the web, but none are really a classical introduction. I have no bad conscience about taking a premade presentation by someone else (and yes, in todays context of plagiarised, fully citing them etc.), knowing that it is actually well designed to present R and doesn't talk gibberish, The closest I found was by Tyler K. Perrachione from MIT, which I think I might use if push comes to shove, but...

Event Calendar/Scheduler Implementation
Hi there. I am a RoR newbie and come from the Java/C# perspective. After digging into Rails I would like to convert an ASP.NET project -that served as a protoype- to RoR. The only thing that I havenĀ“t got a good solution for is handling calendar events. With that I specifically mean creating, moving an event or a set of events as well as recurrence handling - similar to Google Calendar if you

Strikethroughs and dashes
Who really uses strikethroughs?? This is one of the most common tripwires in RedCloth. You are the friend--the only friend--who has offered to help. Obviously em dashes. I died in -2006- wait, no, two-thousand-FIVE! Obviously strikethrough. I''m going on a trip - a long one - to the Virgin Islands. That''s got to be en dashes. Such a cheap, no-hassle, no-worry

pass hash as parameter
Hello, How can I pass a hash as parameter from a template with url_for? e.g. : if I have test = { :a => "a", :b => "b" } How can I pass that with my request? Is it possible to pass nested hash''es to? Right now, url_for :action => :test, test doesn''t seem to work. Thank you, --

Adtran TA750 & T100P
Hello, So all the pieces are finally here, and I'm ready to play. I remember reading on this list that the connection Channel Bank <-> T100P requires a "reverse cable." Is this a regular Ethernet reverse cable (i.e., only a couple of pairs reversed?) Please help me before I blow something up! Saludos, Jose.

Backups & Directory Timestamps Not Preserved
Hello, I've been testing out using rsync for nightly incremental backups through the '--backup' & '--backup-dir' options. So far, I've noticed two issues. 1) First, if an empty directory is removed from the source, rsync will remove it from the destination but not create the directory in the backup-dir location. $ mkdir -p /tmp/src/foo $ rsync -a /tmp/src/
