Preforming an action/trigger after a user successfully authenticates
Hi - I have searched the docs for v1.0 RC7, but cannot find what I'm looking for. What I'm ultimately wanting to do is have Dovecot preform some action, or a trigger, when the user is successfully authenticated. Even more specifically, I'd like to run another SQL query to record a date/time for last authenticated login. Short from running a script during logrotate, or constantly tailing the log, is there any mechanism in Dove...

Windows 98 Preformance
I have Samba on a HP-UX 10.20 box and a Windows 98 and NT clients. We are using Samba to just share the Unix drives, the clients get their main stuff from an NT domain structure. On my NT client connected to a share, when I go into file manager for an example I get the directory structure almost instantly. However when the 98 client does the same exact process on the same exact share, it take

Poor Samba Preformance
I recently upgraded a part of my network to Gigabit ethernet, basically between my Linux machine and my main windows machine, is now gigabit. The problem is that, and the whole reason I went with it, is to get faster speeds with samba. I've only been able to get 13.4 MB/s as a maximum transfer speed. I don't expect to be able to get 125 MB/s. If I use HTTP I can get around 18 MB/s,

[XCP] primary/primary DRBD 8.4.0-1 LVM-based shared SR (xcp 1.1) preformance tuning
Hi all, we have followed the very good HOWTO by http://wherethebitsroam.com/blogs/jeffw/drbd-xcp-05 and set up DRBD on XCP 1.1 in primary/primary mode. It works fine, but I am wondering how to squeeze more performance out of the system (we currently use a crossover GB Ethernet connection). When writing a 1 GB file on a guest I get write performance of about 5MB/s (idle). We have disabled all

docu buglet
?oneway.test contains: |var.equal| a logical variable indicating whether to treat the variances in the samples as equal. If |TRUE|, then a simple F test for the equality of means in a one-way analysis of variance is preformed. If |FALSE|, an approximate method of Welch (1951) is used, which generalizes the commonly known 2-sample Welch test to the case of arbitrarily many samples. I guess preformed should read performed Kjetil -- Kjetil Halvorsen. Peace is the most effective weapon of mass construction....

Obtaining R-squared value in Logistic Regression
I do not see an R-squared value after preforming the glm regression. Is there a separate command for this? Thanks -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Obtaining-R-squared-value-in-Logistic-Regression-tp4648954.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

find_by_sql preformance problems when ordering data
Hi, I am bumping into a small problem I was hoping someone could send me in the right direction on. I''m counting votes from a votes table to try to find the top ten videos. The following works really well, until I try to order it. It would seem that the order by is adding a 26 second delay, which surprised me since it was all done in sql. I revised the process to sort and publish on

Spamhaus with Zimbra Mail on CentOS
I realize this is slightly off topic, but I've noticed recently that I've been unable to preform RBL lookups using the the zen and sbl spamhaus RBL lists. Currently using Zimbra Collaboration Suite using CentOS 5 I'm seeing logs showing the following output. [root at phantom ~]# cat /var/log/zimbra.log | grep spamhaus Jul 18 13:07:12 phantom postfix/smtpd[27001]: warning: 107.178.203.192....

Efficient ways of finding functions and Breslow-Day test for homogeneity of the odds ratio
Dear all, I have been trying to find a function to calculate the Breslow-Day test for homogeneity of the odds ratio in R. I know the test can be preformed in SAS but i was wondering if anyone could help me to perform this in r. In addition i have the fullrefman file to search for functions in the basic R packages, does anyone have any suggestions of an efficient way of searching for functions in the other add-on packages on the website? Thanks...

[LLVMdev] [LLVMDev] Profiling information
How do I find the profiling or run time information for machine basic blocks from a machine function? There are quite a few optimization that may be preformed with this information, when it exists. Thanks, Jeff Kunkel

Best way to migrate versions and machines
We are looking to migrate from our current mail server running dovecot-1.2.11-3 to a new mail server running the latest dovecot (2.0.9?). So this would not only be a version change but also a machine change. We currently use Maildir for storing mail and would like to stay that way. Has anyone preformed such a feat and it worked? Looking for any input.

Thunderbird address book issue
This may be off-topic, as it's only indirectly related to Samba 4 but perhaps others here have already solved this. While testing Samba 4 I've come across a rather annoying little issue when preforming an LDAP address book lookup from Thunderbird. The display name in the address book does not match the display name in ADUC. It appears that the Thunderbird address book is using the uid field instead of the displayName field, as it does when using openldap. Does anyone here have a workaround...

I am sorry for the basic question, can someone give me the name of a good book as well? Thanks, Lo...

[Wiki] Possible error in documentation wineboot
Hello, I am translating some pages of Wiki of Wine into Spanish: In http://wiki.winehq.org/wineboot the first line says: wineboot preforms actions that would normally be done ... There might be wineboot performs actions that would normally be done I am not quite sure, but to translate it was not much meaning in the phrase to the word "preforms." On the other hand, I would like translate the tool wineboot, it could be tra...

track a stolen laptop via rsync
My wife's Windows XP laptop was stolen a couple days ago. Every night the computer automatically preforms an rsync to a Debian Linux computer (the dumb-dumbs didn't steal that). My question: if the laptop successfully connects to the Linux box can you think of anyway I can use this fact to track the computer (maybe an IP address from its location., etc.)? By they way I could really care less abo...
