opens source trouble ticket
Hi all, I am lookng for a truble ticket to install on my Cents os 4.4 server. RPM is always prefferd. Souce is also welcome. Have you done somethink like this before? I’ve actually found a solution to my problem, but I wanted to post it here, since someone else might have the problem in the future, and I think it would be nice if I could spare them the week of Googling I needed. Basically, I have an AD member server, running Samba 4.2.10 (on Centos 7.2.1511). Here’s my smb.conf: [global]         workgroup = SUBDOMAIN         server string = Samba Server

Dos Btrieve Windows 98 and Samba 4.0
?We are trying to migrate a Dos based btrieve application from Windows NT to Samba 4?.1.6-Ubuntu. Running one client works, running more that one client do not work. I searched Google and there are many historic pages about issues related to the btrieve / Samba combination. Are there stable solutions of this issue? Kind Regards Hendre

...u fixed it and not disable-ing it. You system used id range 0-1000+ ( and first user gets 1000 ) The Windows | BUILDIN matches : idmap config *: But is set to wide, it also matched the linux id's. Now Samba AD (with AD BACKEND) starts with idmap config DOMAIN 10000-999999 by default. A prefferded layout for idmap config. # maps to windows BUILDIN/LOCAL ID's idmap config *:backend = tdb idmap config *:range = 2000 - 9999 # the AD has as start 10000-99999 idmap config SUBDOMAIN:backend = ad idmap config SUBDOMAIN:schema_mode = rfc2307...
