booting on a dos software
Hi!
I've got a USB key with several tools (small linux, memtest86+)
booting via syslinux.
But now I have to add powermax.exe (a MSDOS tool to test Maxtor
disks) on this key.
As I've always been on Unix/Linux system, I don't know what
to do to run powermax.exe from syslinux.
I've made a boot floppy disk and tried to copy everything
on my usb key and put the command.com in kernel field but
all I have was &q...

maxtor "powermax.exe" and wine?
Has anyone ever tried to run maxtor's "powermax.exe" program, that
attempts to determine if a drive is having problems prior to RMA, under
wine?
Thanks!

Samba 3.0.4 on PowerMax 5.1
I am trying to load Samba 3.0.4 on Motorola PowerMAX
5.1.
Samba is not recognizing the platform when I compile
it. It is bombing out on the config.sub script.
Can you tell me how to get this loaded and what
changes I need to make?
Thanks,
Tom

...em is:
* AIMS Pure Sine 12V 600W Inverter. I had it already. Having this inverter
on hand drove the decision for 12V vs 24/48V. Also, power needs are
relatively low so 12V doesn't lead to more than 55A of current, and that's
only when charging from a deep discharge.
* RV Converter/Charger: PowerMax PM4 55A 12V. This is a lead acid battery
charger that will also provide power after batteries are charged. Many
battery chargers are not designed to be run 24/7, this one is.
* Two 12V 200Ah Renology AGM deep cycle batteries wired in parallel. Got a
deal on these. I decided I was ok with 75%-80% D...

SYSLINUX 3.10-pre21: ISOLINUX fixes, MEMDISK changes
I have just pushed out SYSLINUX 3.10-pre21; this fixes ISOLINUX, and
adds a fix for MEMDISK -- it so happens that running ISOLINUX under
Bochs triggers a bug with similar behaviour as I've seen reported on
here, so I'm *hoping* this might fix the "doesn't work without harddisk"
problem and perhaps the IBM/USB problem some people have been reporting.
Again, I really want
