Status of Xen-Powermanagement-Support
Hi! What is the current status of support for PowerNow! and Speedstep? As I remember there were rumors, that those techniques were just supported for dom0, meaning that all the guests would run slow if dom0 idles. Is there already a solution for this implemented (in the unstable-tree), so that guests do also influence power-state? If so, does it also work with dualcore-cpus or is it better

[Discussion] User controls for PowerManagement
With some progress in PowerManagement support (there's a patch nearly done for reading the P-tables, written mostly by xexaxo, derived from thunderbirds nvclock, with 0x40 adjustments from myself) in my opinion it's time to think about the user aspect of this. My personal idea for GPU scaling was similar to that of CPU scaling in appearance eventually. When you look at the cpufreq-applet

Richcomm Serial driver
Hi, I'm trying to configure my ups with nut which is a locally made one. It uses a rs232 port to talk to the computer and comes with a software called "Powermanager Lite" which is provided by Richcomm and supports Windows, Linux and UNIX. According to the manual it uses the Richcomm circuitry to talk to the computer and uses a drycontact protocol. Unfortunately I couldn't find any driver for Richcomm serial interface, there's a richcomm_usb howeve...

Help: Vultech UPS 1500VA (richcomm_usb)
Heya, first time posting to a mailing list so please excuse me if I do something wrong :) I'm new to NUT and trying to get things working on my TrueNAS, I have a "Vultech 1500VA" UPS which comes with the software "PowerManager II" and it seems to be using the "richcomm_usb" driver. There are 5 devices in the compatibility list and I tried all of them, sadly to no success. All of them report that the UPS is not connected to mains (or randomly switches between states) and no battery information. I also tried...

Help with USB support for a Kebo UPS-650D
...ianxing-kebo.com/> . The UPS has a USB port on the back, but no serial port. It's currently connected via USB to my Linux box. There is Windows software supplied with the UPS which purports to provide information on input/output voltage, load, battery status, etc. The software is called PowerManager and is made by a company called RichComm (website appears to be at www.richcomm.com <http://www.richcomm.com/> ). According to their website, the PowerManager software can control various UPS brands. I've seen reference on Google to it working specifically with Starpower and UPguardS UPS...

Sweex 1000VA UPS (Lakeview Research)
Hi all, i've read a thread about this UPS from Peter van Valderen. He tried to develop a driver for this specific type of UPS. I've downloaded nut-2.2.2 and tried to apply the patches (lakeview.patch & lakeview.v2.patch) but both resulted in rejected chunks. I've tried to ./configure with type lakeview and then a make, but the make command fails. Does anybody has any

Power Management under Nouveau
Hello, I would like some clarity from the developers on the state of power management for nouveau. I have recently acquired a Dell XPS 15 (2017) 9560 with: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Device [8086:591b] (rev 04) 01:00.0 3D controller [0302]: NVIDIA Corporation Device [10de:1c8d] (rev a1) There seems to be contradictory information online with Arch Wiki mentioning:

Screensavers on Centos-7
...es after a reboot it'll work again for a while then it starts misbehaving again. First question: Anybody have any similar issues? Anybody have any ideas on what's going on here and what I can do about it? So, not being in a position to reboot, last night I killed mate-screensaver and mate-powermanager, with the hopes the daemons would restart themselves. No such luck. so I tried to figure out what programs I could run to get them started again. So far I'm too stupid to be able to figure that out, as well. Second question: Anybody able to clue me in on how the screensavers and power managers...
