reboot of nut managment node resets Tripplite SMX1000LCD
Hi, I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature. I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 on my RPi4 which connects to the UPS over USB. I have noticed whenever I reboot my RPi4. It resets the UPS ( I can hear the relay) -- Powerloss. Any pointers to disable this annoying bug / feature. ups.conf: --8<---- [tripp] driver = usbhid-ups port = auto vendorid = 09ae productid = 2009 bus = 001 desc = "Tripp Lite SMX1000LCD" -->8----

Corrupted Files
...(mostly binary-files, StarCalc, PDF, ...) are corrupted. The files couldn't be viewed or opened (with SO) anymore. The files from older backups, before I used ext3-0.0.5 in ordered mode work still pretty well. I had no fatal crash or something simillar between these dates (OK, I had two times a powerloss of my laptop), but nothing unusual. cu, Joachim

...VI 1000. It seems to work fairly well with the megatec-driver, however there is one bigger problem and that is the incorrect detection of battery.charge. This causes the UPS send the OB LB flag at - according to NUT - 43% of battery.charge, however the real charge at this point is closer to ~25%. A powerloss is inevitable when there is - again, according to NUT - 17% left in the battery.charge. I haven't tried the dev-tree but since megatec.c in the dev-tree is identical to the megatec.c in nut-2.2.1-pre1 I assume the problem is still around. What I hope to achieve with this mail is to bring forth...

You should be able to see this in the log. The UPS will then turn off it's power outlets say 20 seconds later when the RPi4 has already...

Shutdown/Poweroff
Is there a good source of information about how Linux distributions and installers identify and interact with the hardware devices in a system?? We are particularly interested in the shutdown process that leads to complete power-off.? Thanks.

Asterisk not hanging up
I have a problem with calls not hanging up if for some reason the physical phone dies or gets unplugged I can demonstrate this in practice by making a call from a handset, then unplugging the handset from the power. The call remains active and asterisk never seems to disconnect it. More annoyingly when power is re-applied the handset comes back to life, won't receive incoming calls

battery not installed, but battery still 100% and NUT 2.7.2-4 does not catch this and report a error
Hi debian jessie, nut 2.7.2-4 APC Smart-UPS 1500 connected through USB, running nut driver usbhid-ups This UPS powers my switches, internet connection and my monitor server that monitors this and my other UPSes + runs smokeping and nagios. But recently a powerloss seemed to have shutdown my monitor PC immediately, so it did not shut down the other servers cleanly. Power seem to be lost immediately. But my APC Smart-UPS 1500 always reported everything OK. output from CGI scripts APC Smart-UPS 1500 - powers switches and routers in little rack +++ also thi...

questions about zil
I recently got a new SSD (ocz vertex LE 50gb) It seems to work really well as a ZIL performance wise. My question is, how safe is it? I know it doesn''t have a supercap so lets'' say dataloss occurs....is it just dataloss or is it pool loss? also, does the fact that i have a UPS matter? the numbers i''m seeing are really nice....these are some nfs tar times before
