SIP powercycle not hanging up
I have Sipura 841's talking to a CVS-HEAD of August 4.
If I disconnect the power to the Sipura, Asterisk does not hang up the
channel.
My sip.conf for this phone looks like:

disallow = all
allow = ulaw
callerid = "super1"

Info - Adit 600 console password reset
Just an FYI, I noticed some people not being able to use the CLI of their
adit 600's because of a set password. You can erase the configuration of
the adit 600 by setting the RST dip switch to on, powercycling the box,
waiting until it finishes coming up, setting it back to off, and
powercycling again.

Filesystem returned to state of six months ago after fsck
Recently our sysadm accidentally powercycled our server (RedHat8) after 198 days of uptime, and upon boot it insisted on checking one partition (/dev/sda7) in our RAID. When it was done, the files were in the state of August 23 last year, with anything newer either gone or invisible. I guess something went wrong with journaling data. What c...

Grandstream GSX-2000 - dead :-(
...nd stay on, screen and buttons are dead. Connectivity to
Grandstream.com was always good - whenever I checked (I downloaded the
"User Manual" in a couple of minutes), the site states five minutes to
load, so waiting more than 30 mins should have been OK, and they do have
this "Please Powercycle" in red print too...
Is there a magic re-incarnation routine ?
(Power on whilst holding down some buttons?, Sprinkling chickens blood?)
I chose an HTTP upgrade over TFTP - as I read that there were potential
issues with TFTP at this firmware level.

corrupted indexes rebuilding over and over
Hi,
On saturday one of our dovecot machines had an OOPS, and we had to
powercycle it. When it came up, it did a filesystem fsck (ext4) and
fixed a couple things, but nothing in lost+found.
Now, about 50 users have a problem where their indexes are
corrupted. Dovecot tries to fix them, but for some reason it is
failing. The users are seeing their mails duplicated and they canno...

Anyone know of a pass through ATA
Anyone know of a company that makes a pass through ATA?
By pass through I mean have an Ethernet switch built into the ATA, like most
desktop phones have.
All of the dual ethernet ATA's I have seen have WAN/LAN ports, not two LAN
ports.
I fooled around with DMZ etc...but it just doesn't work as well.

Budgetone problem
Hey guys,
I have a problem with my BudgeTone. It ignores calls after being online
with my asterisk server for an extended period of time. I know this
problem has been posted on this list before. Honestly, I searched the
archives but couldn't find the previous posts. Was there ever a solution to this problem ?
My firmware version is the latest: 1.0.5.11.
Once again, I apologize for posting

Help with Digium TE210P, TDM400P card in Dell PE830
...h the
amber control LED flashing.
Sometimes (most frequent scenario) it just boots OK and when I connect
E1 plug in TE210P card it correctly clears red alarm status on the span
but do not reset channels and 'pri show span 1' shows that the span is down.
The only resolution is that I have to powercycle the box several times
with unplugged E1 until it starts working properly.
Not exactly what I would expect from a rock stable PBX.
Any help is appreciated.

...pingable. If I use telnet
I do get a connection, but it doesn't continue to log me in. Even when connecting to port 22
(ssh) I get a connection, but the ssh server doesn't announce its version to me (as it does otherwise).
Also at the console I cannot so anything with the server, apart from powercycling it.
This happens about twice a day now, except for the weekends.
We analyzed the output from sar. All we could find was that 'totsck' (total sockets) is rising, and
reaching 900/1000 before the hang. ( approaching 1024 ??? ).
We tried running samba 2.2.7a, but this didn't help. Al...

Last night we attempted a snapshot on a VM that is critical to our
infrastructure. During the snapshot, the task locked up and was unable to
progress or stop the snapshot. I attempted to force the VM to stop as well
as destroy it''s domain. As a last resort I had powercycled the host.
Upon bringing the host online again the LUNs failed to mount properly on
both of the hosts in the same cluster, entering a "Broken" state where they
were listed as "unplugged" (two LUNs). This of course prevented the VMs
from starting and we received a "VDI Not...

Just be certain that each guest is either completely inactive (doesn't

HP Blade Gen 7 and 8 IO stall with ciss driver

Our main question: does anybody have similar experiences? Maybe on hp

With best regards,

Some more information:
I/O Stall:
The only solution to resolve the state is to "powercycle" the server.
Any network traffic or processing stuff also like entering kernel
debugger is possible, but shows only full I/O Queues...
reproducing:
scrubbing nonstop helps, but does result in a stall every week instead
of every 4 weeks... so nothing like 'next hour'.

IAXy
Not sure if this is the best place but does any one have any used IAXy's
they are interested in selling?
I am looking to pick one up cheap for a proof of concept before going
all out on them.
Also does any one have any real life practical experience with how well
(or not so well) that these devices have worked for them?
you can reply to me off list at asterisk@matraex.com
Thanks

Polycom MWI's will not turn off
Hello,
I have a bunch of Polycom 601's and Asterisk 1.4.13. The problem is that
the MWI indicators will never go off (The blinking red light and envelope in
the LCD).
I have tried to upgrade to 1.4.14 and all different SIP versions on the
Polycoms. I am now at 1.6.7
Here is the SIP Message that turns on the lights:

OT: remote power cycling
I'm in a situation where I'm going to have to deploy a rack of servers
in an unmanned location in another country. On rare occasions, I've had
systems that would not recover gracefully from a warm reboot and needed
the power cycled. Years ago, I had such a device from APC, but haven't
needed one in a long time since all my locations are staffed. I'd
welcome any
