First come, first serve! And I will confirm costs before sending them out. - KB

FXS Solutions for modems and other non jitter tolerant devices
...the unit. Unfortunately the FXS ports are just ATA's off of Asterisk, no different than a SPA2012 unit. The 550 is getting long in the tooth and very expensive for a few FXS ports, what are you folks doing when someone has a need? It can be a modem for the power company to read the meter, a postage machine that needs to get more postage, an alarm system, etc. Is the customer buying a POTS line and splitting it the only other way? array indexes in C
I am passing (numeric) arrays to a C function, called with .C. To the best of my knowledge, I can do this in R by passing it as a vector (with as.vector) to the .C call. However, it would be useful to access the array as an array inside C, ie not have to calculate how array indices (i,j,k) map to the vector elements. What is the right way to do this? Are there convenience functions to do the

Alarm -> envisalink, postage machine -> ethernet based, pos terminal -> ethernet. Fax is really the only need recently, and even that has alternatives like emailing scans...

OT Astricon/Digium Beach Ball Mailing
..., was mine just bad, or should Digium get a refund from the promotion company for providing garbage? Anyone else get one? Was it OK or junk? I post this not to put down Digium, the thought was nice, I wish I could play with my Digium beach ball, but Digium should know about it if it was common. Postage alone was costly. Thanks, Steve Totaro

spandsp on FC3
...t Asterisk from the command line (usually, asterisk -c or asterisk -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvcp ) I can receive faxes and mailtofax sends them to me OK. If I start the asterisk service (service asterisk start) that uses safe_asterisk, faxes appear to be received, but what actually gets sent to me is about a postage stamp PDF or in some cases the PDF just has errors "open file error". I'm guessing this is a timing or processor type issue but I'm not sure what the big difference is. I only see the spanDSP messages when I monitor the console after starting asterisk manually. I tried adding t...

how do I stop automount of Hitichi Lifestudio USB drive
...mation? > Appliance setup, Dekstop setup, server setup? > There exist a lot scenarios where something > happen automagically? It's a Chimera Desktop 2014. More specifically, I bought the case, the motherboard, the CPU, the RAM and the graphics card from another poster for the price of postage. They'd been in or on their way to the trash. I don't remember whether the DVD writer and the power supply were included. The two hard drives and the floppy drive are transplants from its predecessor. The monitor is of the same vintage. It's running gnome on CentOS 6. My current machine...

dovecot + sendmail, what LDA setup?
I have an existing setup with sendmail, dovecot, on debian. I want to move LDA and move from using mbox to using Maildir. I have only 'real' users and aliases, no virtual users. What is a recommended, trouble free, LDA setup? procmail is of course on possibility, but I'd be unlikely ever to use any of its advanced features, just simple local mail delivery. I'd like to use

Re: Sipura 841 and headset (Josiah Bryan)
...at I've used it on (several managers use headsets in my office with the SPA-841.) -josiah -- Josiah Bryan -------------- I too use a number of SPA-841 with the headsets plugged into the 2.5mm headset port. I found the best headset to be the Panasonic TCA92 (off eBay) at about $usd8 +usd8 postage to Au. Some of the other headsets I tried, did not perform as well. However I have found the later firmware (v3.1.2) has a problem with background noise causing the incoming audio to mute on both headset and speaker phone. You can reduce the microphone level in this latest software, but this didn&...
