Windows client not honorring the Port directive?
...number the firewall receives
connection attempt for the other tinc machine on the internet from a
"random" high port number (1025 and up, increasing with each attempt).
If I *do* specify a Port directive in the Host configuration then the
daemon is still using the "random" high portnumbers.
And of course, because the other tinc daemon (on the internet) is
expecting either port 655 or the one I have specified in the
configuration, the connection is dropped.
Does any one have any clues as to what could be wrong here? (This
being Windows, I have already rebooted, several times ;-) )...

UDP and NAT
At the moment I have 2 network connected in a VPN and I'm planning to
extend this.
Actual status:
Network A has a public IP
Network B is behind a provider-scale NAT.
Actually I'm using openvpn with a single UDP connection from B to A, and
hosts inside Network A can communicate with B.
I tried with tinc, and I saw tinc has to go TCP-Only for accomplish
this. This is because Tinc

Multiple SAMBA servers
...to take over
the failed machine's services. Also the IP adress is moved (the machine
will now have multiple IP adresses (on the same logical net)).
So what I want to do is to run two SAMBA-servers with diffrent
configuration on one machine.
Is this possible?
Must I run the servers on diffrent portnumbers?
If I have to change one of the servers portnumber how do I do with my NT4
clients ??
My clients are configured to access both of the SAMBA-servers and need to
do this also in a case of a failure.
Suggestions?

two questions about ssh tunneling
if I:
ssh -fND localhost:6000 somebody at 192.168.56.5 -p PORTNUMBER
from computer "A" to computer "B" [B = 192.168.56.5] then I can set the
SOCKS proxy for e.g.: Firefox to use "localhost:6000" on computer "A".
Ok. I can surf the web through "B".
But:
- Can anyone sniff the traffic of "A"? [e.g.: computers on same subnet

PV USB Use Case for Xen 4.x
Good Afternoon. My colleague Stefan (sstan) was asked on the IRC
channel to provide our use case for PV USB in our environment. This is
possible with the current xm stack but not available with the xl stack.
Currently we use PVUSB to attach a USB Smartcard reader through our dom0
(SLES 11 SP1) running on an HP Blade Server with the Token mounted on an
internal USB Port to our domU CA server

deploying with capistrano - web site responds much faster
Hi,
just out of curiosity: I have a RoR website, and till now I used to
deploy it by hand. Now I''ve deployed it automatically, and after this
the web site response is much faster. I don''t know if capistrano did
something else too, though the speed of how the site runs has
increased a lot.
there is another thing though: I''m using a shared account on
textdrive, and there

how to set default proxy?
hi
I know that I could use ssh tunneling:
ssh -fND localhost:6000 SOMEBODY at 192.168.56.5 -p PORTNUMBER
to surf the web through another machines internet connection -> I just need to set Firefox to use proxy 6000.
But:
How can I set that on the client side, to e.g.: ping through the
machine with openssh-server? Not just setting Firefox to use port 6000.
Is there any method for

proxy server connection broken
It seems that wine broke the ability to connect to a proxy server.
Has anyone else noticed this?
i.e. after establishing a proxy connection on my linux platform to another server ...... ' ssh -o "ServerAliveInterval 60" -D portnumber user at ipaddress'
I used to and ought to be able to connect whilst running metatrader4

portmap spoofing in nfsmount
Hi all,
I have implemented portmap spoofing in klibc nfsmount (released as
klibc-0.144) This is basically a vestigial portmap daemon which gets
launched before the mount() call and then just records any transactions
it gets to a file and sends back an affirmative reply.
There are two ways to use it (this belongs in a README file, but it's
too late at night right now):
a) Set a fixed

Might want to allow different host keys for different ports on same host
Hi,
and here's the next feature request, which sounds interesting. Also I
think I won't need much extra code to add this feature. So what do you
guys think?

"smbclient -p <port>" appears to be broken in Samba 2.x
I posted this problem as a question to this list a while ago and got no
reply. I submitted it as a bug, but found that "samba-bugs@samba.org",
no longer accepts bug reports, even though the web page says to send them
to that address.
Wondering if the option had been intentionally discontinuted without
updating the man page, I made a quick check of the source and found that

Finding out on which port mongrel is running
Hi *,
What''s the best way to find out on which port mongrel is running from
within Rails?
I have a cluster of mongrels behind a balancer (Pen) behind a webserver
(Apache).
In Rails,
request.port return 80
and
request.env[''SERVER_PORT''] returns 3000 (the port of Pen)
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Max

i use the following patch file, but it seems not success.anyone have an idea
about that?
thanks.
patch file:
This adds an element

This is the bare minimum that should be exposed in the guest
config for SPICE. Other
