portable player for OGG/Vorbis files
Hello everybody, what do you think about a portable OGG/Vorbis player, for example ARM or MIPS or PowerPC based? I am a hardware engineer and I am thinking about such a project... Speex ARM4 patch
The attached patch eliminates some warnings while compiling for ARM4 targets. It also simplifies the asm constraints a bit. Now we can use the ARM4 optimisations when compiling for PortalPlayer targets in Rockbox. Cheers, Dan -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Ogg Media Player
What is the best (preferable open source) media player for oggs? I'm on windows, and Windows Media Player is the best thing I can seem to find. I've looked at WinAmp, QCD, Sonique, and FreeAmp, and they just don't seem to have the media library functionality WMP has. Is there another player out there I'm missing? Chris

How many MIPS for Vorbis Decoder?
Hello, I may be stupid, but I cannot find any data on how "expensive" the Vorbis Decoder is. Looking for an embedded solution I am interested in how many "MIPS" you need to decode a MONO audio stream at reasonable quality (44 kHz, approx. 100 kbps?) Can it be done in a microcontroller, or do I need ultra-expensive DSPs to do it? Thanks for hints Jens --- >8 ---- List

For Oggvorbis algorithm description.
Dear Sir, I am a DSP Engineer working in the field of Audio Standards and general Signal Processing Algorithms. I am very much interested in knowing the algorithms which make OggVorbis a reality. Kindly send me the link which will lead me to the algorithm description or pseudo-code. Thanking You, Sincerely, Tom Xavier. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives:
