problems with flac?
...D collection (over
7000 songs) to flac and I have found that 18 of them
have a strange problem. The files are corrupted in
some way.. They will stop playing abruptly in the
middle of the song. I've attached a listing of the
metadata and you'll see what I mean.
You can see that the seek points toward the end have a
bunch of zeros and I'm not sure how they got there.
The 18 songs that exhibit this problem are some of my
longer tracks, but not all my long songs have this
problem. I honestly can't confirm if the original
ripped wav was corrupted or not since it has been
converted...

[RFC][FFT][Fixed-Point][NEON] NEON-Optimize Fixed-Point FFT?
Hi,
I am working on DSP module of Ne10. I see there are fixed-point and floating-point FFT inside Opus. Is fixed-point FFT only a fall back for CPU without VFP? On ARMv7-A and ARMv8-A, benchmark result shows that fixed-point (int32) and floating-point (float32) FFT have similar performance. I guess fixed-point version is not often used on these platforms. Is it wor...

Panning map to a point vs. setCenter
Several map providers have functions to pan to a location, as opposed
to the direct setCenter call. Panning animates the move from one point
to another. To implement this in mapstraction, I created a panCenter
function.
I don''t know how to go about committing the change to svn, or who
decides whether my naming convention is worthy, but I thought I''d
share the function below.

Call redirect with *
I would like to redirect a call from one IAX "destination" system to another
and I'm wondering if it is possible and if so, how.
Here is an explanation of what I mean:
Point A is our main office. It has the lines from the PSTN and it converts
them to VOIP traffic on an * box.
Point B is a satellite office with a small number of people working who work
there. It also has a * box for handling calls sent in by Point A.
Point C is the home office of one of the employee...

Calculating distance between longitude, latitude of 2 points
Hi all,
I would like to know a way of calculating the distance between 2 points when
I already have the longitude and latitude of the points.
For example :
Point 1 : 52? 9'54.00"N 4?25'8.40"E
Point 2 : 52?27'46.80"N 4?33'18.00"E
Distance between point 1 and point in km ....
Is there any functions already available for this ?
Any...

way of measuring how well we are doing. So this is what I have come up with.
1. Installation (total possible 2)
Installs in wine with fake windows 2 points
Installs in wine with windows mounted 1 point
Does not install in wine 0 points
2. Running & DLLS (total possible 2)
Runs fine using all builtin dlls 2 points

optim with simulated annealing SANN for combinatorial optimization
Hi all
I am trying to solve a combinatorial optimization problem. Basically, I can
reduce my problem into the next problem:
1.- Given a NxN grid of points, with some values in each cell
2.- Find the combination of K points on the grid such that, the maximum
mean value is obtained
I took the Travel SalesMan problem example in ?optim documentation. I am
not sure if I have understood correctly the SANN implementation in optim,
as I do not see how th...

Fixed point modules in floating point
Hi,
I was testing floating point Opus encoder. But it's calling few functions
which are implemented in fixed point . I tried to find corresponding
floating point functions in source. But not available. Please help me on
this.

Scatterplot Showing All Points
Hello all,
I'm trying to graph a scatterplot of a large (5,000 x,y coordinates) of data
with the caveat that many of the data points overlap with each other (share the
same x AND y coordinates). In using the usual "plot" command,
> plot(education, xlab="etc", ylab="etc")
it seems that the overlap of points is not shown in the graph. Namely, there
are 5,000 points that should be plotted, as...

[LLVMdev] Adding safe-point code generation
Hi all,
I need to add thread-switching support to Unladen Swallow's JIT, and
LLVM's safe point support looks like a good way to get code into all
the right places. However,
http://llvm.org/docs/GarbageCollection.html#collector-algos points out
that there's no way to emit code at safe points yet, and there are no
loop safe points at all. So I'll be trying to implement them.
Is there...

Using find_by_sql to get the sum of a column
...wbie), I defined all sorts of methods only to discover that Rails
(after reading Agile Web Dev) already had something much simpler (I
don''t mind since it''s helping me learn Ruby along the way).
My question is this, does Rails have any methods that can do this ..
def self.total_points
@points = self.find_by_sql("select sum(score) from scores")
points = @points[0] #assigns first row
points = points.attributes #assigns as hash
points = points.values # pulls out the value
points = points.to_s #converts to string
points = points.to_i # converts to fixnum

spatstat regression troubles
Hi Everyone,
I am trying to figure out the spatstat package for the first time and am having some trouble. Unfortunately, I can't post my data set but I'll hopefully post enough details for some help.
I want to model the intensity of a spatial point process using 2 covariates from my data. After reading through the documentation, I have successfully created 2 "ppp" objects. The first ppp object is a list of coordinates where people exist and the second is where people do not exist as follows:
> people_exist

which points within an ellipsoid? Sorting data in 3d
Hello,
in a three dimensional coordinate system, I'd like to find all my
experimental data points that fall within an ellipsoid around a fixed
coordinate. The fixed point is defined by (x.coord.point,
y.coord.point, z.coord.point). The coordinates of the ellipsoid are
given by the three vectors x,y,z.
In a previous version of my code, I simply used a box instead of an
ellipsoid to sort my...

rounding of voronoi vertices using deldir()
...lo list,
I'm just getting started with using R - I have been trying over the past
day or so to work out a method for generating voronoi polygons for
PostGIS using SQL. I was able to put together a procedure which works
relatively well, but is somewhat inefficient. Someone on the PostGIS
list pointed me to the deldir() function in R, for which I can export a
text file with x/y coordinates from a PostGIS table, and write an SQL
script with insert statements containing PostGIS ewkt-compatible
geometries representing the voronoi polygons generated by deldir().
The script I'm using is below....

Making a ranking algorithm more efficient
I would like to make a ranking operation more efficient if possible.
The goal is to rank a set of points representing objective
function values such that points which are "dominated" by no
others have rank 1, those which are dominated by one other point
have rank 2, etc. In the example with two dimensions below, objective
functions 1 and 2 are to be minimized. Points a-e are non-domina...
