Upgrade Samba 4
Hi,
Now, my functional level is 2008_R2.
samba-tool domain level show
Domain and forest function level for domain 'DC=empres,DC=com,DC=br'
Forest function level: (Windows) 2008 R2
Domain function level: (Windows) 2008 R2
Lowest function level of a DC: (Windows) 2008 R2
Everything looks fine, the replication, the consistency between the DCs,
however I have checked this information in

RJS - slower than normal RHTML?
I know that isn''t supposed to be the case, and it usually isn''t, but
today, I''ve run across a situation where rendering the same partial
through RJS is taking about 5 times longer than rendering the partial in
the RHTML.
I have in my main RHTML

systems.
And even ADMINs can use some help from time-to-time. Let us be frank,
the Linux/GNU hoge-poge of syntax makes the English language look
positively simple in comparison. And that is not a good thing.

Yes, offcourse, the 172.19 is a "bad" example.
I suggest we use the official RFC 1918 zones.
10.0.0.0/8
172.16.0.0/12
192.168.0.0/16
And for example 192.168.0.0/24 as extra, or people get confused. ;-)

we should think about a bit better description here.
When your root/Administrator then it works ok also.
Wel, you found the problem and you where able to fix it, so im happy.
and good to see that you did not have any errors running: samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset

Replication failures
Hai Mason,
I had a look at the debug output.
on 1) why around 15-16 second, that i really dont know. im trying to figure that out.
on 2) if DNS is inconsistance, that everything is unrelayable.
This is really the first the that needs fixing.
then we look again at the replication.
The debug output still shows several messages about zones in flat files.
I still do believe also that this

My normal domain is company.com. For the Samba domain it is
msi.company.com.
DNS is working. I ran these commands.
host -t SRV _ldap._tcp.msi.company.com.
_ldap._tcp.msi.company.com has SRV record 0 100 389 dc0.msi.company.com.
host -t SRV _kerberos._udp.msi.company.com.

Ok, im bit confused, sorry,.
Ehen i look that the below output, then i see there are multiple things suspecting to go wrong here.
?
For example this is a mismatch..? especialy hostname -i & -I? these should be the same or -I should show both.
?
Now, if this is the member i would have expected something like this.
/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
10.1.1.16?????? E-PLANO.ad.mydomain.br

net rpc rights grant fail to connect 127.0.0.1
Hello!
I am trying to do the command:
*net rpc rights grant "SAMDOM\Unix Admins" SeDiskOperatorPrivilege -U
"SAMDOM\administrator"*
*could not connect to server 127.0.0.1*
*connection failed: NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED*
All steps from original samba wiki. The distro is Opensuse 15.1 64 bits, on
Oracle VM, static IP.
I did read several blogs, docs, samba mailing list. Trying

User names not replicating to secondary DC

So fix both resolv.conf.
Then both smb.conf
DC1 : > dns forwarder = 172.23.93.3
DC0 : no forwarder.
And reboot DC0. wait 1 min.
Reboot DC1.
Wait 1 min.
And no check it all.

Upgrading from Debian Stretch to Buster, Van Belle package
Hello,
I am preparing for upgrading from Debian Stretch to Buster.
I am using Louis Van Belle's Samba packages.
My current Samba version is:
# smbstatus --version
Version 4.7.7-Debian
I can see that the Samba version that will be installed, when I upgrade
from Stretch to Buster, will be the 4.11 since this is the current
stable release...
I would like to know if there are major changes
