I have this old memory that the kernels used are a hodge podge of backports etc. So for a kernel-smp-2.6.9-55.0.9.EL should I use 0.4.10? Quoted from http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Download: The latest stable releases can be found here. Currently this is version 0.4.10 for kernels <= 2.6.15, version 0.6.7 for kernel 2.6.16, version 0.7.4 for kernel 2.6....

Load balancing Asterisk.
Hello! We're looking for a solution to reliably load balance our Asterisk boxes. So far we've been using a hodge-podge of directing different services to different boxes/IPs, but eventually I'd like to consolidate things so we can present a single IP address to the outside world. My question is - how do we go about doing that? I've read a lot of things like load-balancing via DUNDi or OpenSER, but it seems...

...uot; computer programming. It used to frustrate me no end, but lately I've noticed my reaction has changed. Nowadays its much more like "wow, is that cool, or what?". So I guess I've gotten over the hump of the learning curve. Comparing what I now do with R to my previous hodge-podge of spreadsheets and supporting programs leaves me open-mouthed at the improvement it has wrought. To all of you who have contributed to this R project, thank you so much. What you have created is far from being merely useful; it is a thing of true beauty, a delight to work with. graham lawrence...

Easy way to strip down CentOS?
...if [ -r $PKGINFO/$PACKAGE ]; then continue else printf "." CRUFT="$CRUFT $PACKAGE" fi done echo echo # Remove all non-core packages yum remove $CRUFT I've tested this a few times, and it works as expected. I know my scripting style is a bit hodge-podge. If you have a more elegant solution, I'm always open for suggestions. Samba 2.2.8a and Microsoft Word
...ow to the point of this email. Since the install of 2.2.8a on the 13th we have seen an increased amount of file corruption with Microsoft Office products. Namely we have seen problems with Word. Files will be created, and editted, and then at some point the file will loose textual data, and a hodge-podge of gibberish characters will appear in place of the text. I know that this all seems vague. But I am just curious to know if any other users have 2.2.8a have experienced issues with Microsoft Office products corrupting files. Managing R packages under Linux
Greetings, I need to develop a way to manage the installation and update of R packages under linux (CentOS), hopefully using Puppet. I''ve got most of the rest of hodge-podge of install scripts and maintenance scripts translated into Puppet and need to tackle this beast now. R is a programming language for statistics, basically, and has a few jillion add on package libraries, very much like PERL, and uses the CRAN (Comprehensive R Archive Network) to provide install mi...

Best Linux distibution for ruby on rails developement?
Hi, I am on Kanotix linux since the first distribution was released by Kano. However I am tired of the "if it can go wrong it will go wrong on Kanotix" pattern. Please recommend a distribution that by your experience is best for ruby on rails development and need no hour-long tweacks for even "simple" tasks. Thanks, Jan Martin -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
