gsDesign Pocock & OBF boundary
Sorry for messed up text. Here it goes again:
I am learning to use the gsDesign package.
I have a question about Pocock and OBF boundary. As far as I can understand, these 2 boundaries require equal spacing between interim analyses (maybe this is not correct?). But looks like I can still use gsDesign to run an analysis based on unequal spacing:?

raw partition or LV for btrfs?
I notice this question on the wiki/faq:
https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/UseCases#What_is_best_practice_when_partitioning_a_device_that_holds_one_or_more_btr-filesystems
and as it hasn''t been answered, can anyone make any comments on the subject
Various things come to mind:
a) partition the disk, create an LVM partition, and create lots of small
LVs, format each as btrfs
b)

fail to mount after first reboot
I created a 1TB RAID1. So far it is just for testing, no important data
on there.
After a reboot, I tried to mount it again
# mount /dev/mapper/vg00-btrfsvol0_0 /mnt/btrfs0
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on
/dev/mapper/vg00-btrfsvol0_0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try

multiple VPN zones
Hi,
I had a look at this page which describes a single VPN zone called "vpn":
http://www.shorewall.net/IPSEC-2.6.html
Is this the most current information? It is the top page found by
Google for "shorewall ipsec"
Is there any information about setting up multiple VPN zones for
different classes of road warrior? E.g. lets say there are two classes
of road warrior:

unblock: xcp-xapi - urgent documentation fixes
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
The current README.Debian is quite old
It gives some advice that will lead to people having a broken system
(e.g. no networking). It describes a procedure for configuring
networking that is completely opposite to what has been described more
recently on the upstream mailing list

Bug#783346: patch for booting Jessie domU with wheezy dom0
..."Unable to find partition containing kernel",
RuntimeError: Unable to find partition containing kernel,
The attached one-line patch to dom0
/usr/lib/xen-4.1/lib/python/grub/GrubConf.py fixes the issue
This should probably be released in an update to wheezy.

group sequential and adaptive designs
Hello R users,
I am looking for R (or S) code related to group sequential or adaptive
designs for clinical trials. (The most prominent examples are the designs of
Pocock or O'Brien/Fleming, the alpha-spending function approach, or Fisher's
combination test and the inverse normal method.) I am particularly interested in
the calculation of the critical boundaries, the handling of spending functions
and, most of all, power calculations. All I could find were a...

Power analysis for repeated measures ANCOVA
Dear All,
I wonder if anyone has written a code for power analysis with repeated
measures ANCOVA? I am aware of the following reference:
Frison L and Pocock SJ: Repeated Measures in Clinical Trials: analysis
using mean summary statistics and its implications for design in
Statistics in Medicine, 1992, 11:1685-1704.

It will probably be fairly easy to code this up or even work on this
from scratch, but it would be good if peop...

gunzipping the patch...
Hi,
I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but when I type in the line:
gunzip < ~/ext3-***extraStuffHere***.gz | patch -p1
as in the installation guide, it tells me that the patch is not a proper gzip file. What do I do???
Also, when it says "make menuconfig", does the menuconfig file appear once the patch is ungzipped, or should it be there already? I'm kinda worried

XCP on Debian blog
I've created a blog entry about my XCP on Debian wheezy experiences

Please let me know if anything is inaccurate or could be explained
better. I'm quite happy to add links out to other resources that are up

Xen XCP blog stats
Just a brief update, the XCP entry in my blog appears to be one of the
most popular pages on my site on a recurring basis
I think this is a sign that (surprise surprise) people are using Debian
for servers, they want to continue doing so in the cloud/virtualization
era and the ability to run XCP this way is something they specifically
want - big thanks are due to all those who have made it
