mixed effects models - negative binomial family?
Hello all, I would like to fit a mixed effects model, but my response is of the negative binomial (or overdispersed poisson) family. The only (?) package that looks like it can do this is glmm.ADMB (but it cannot run on Mac OS X - please correct me if I am wrong!) [1] I think that glmmML {glmmML}, lmer {Matrix}, and glmmPQL {MASS} do not provide this "family" (i.e. nbinom, or

Suggestions for what to do with a Dialogic D/41EPCI?
I found an old Dialogic card in an abandoned PC, that I think is a Dialogic D/41EPCI based on some googling.. The lspci output says: 00:09.0 Bridge: PLX Technology, Inc. It would be ideal if I could use it for FXO ports, but from what I'...

gaming on multiple OS of the same machine?
Hi, I am new to Xen and I was wondering if the following construction would be feasible with the current Xen. I would like to put 2/3/4 new computers in my house, mainly for gaming. Instead of buying 2/3/4 different computers, I was thinking of building one computer with a 4/6/8-core CPU, 2/3/4 GPUs, 2/3/4 small SSDs, and attach 2/3/4 monitors to it, 2/3/4 keyboards and 2/3/4 mouses, and run VGA
