FLAC: command line output
Hi,
I'm using the FLAC command line tool to encode my WAV files in some
directory to FLAC files.
Now I noticed sometimes the output of the tool is mostly like this:
flac -V --best "14 The Hose - Time Warp (Old Skull Mix).wav"
flac 1.1.4, Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 Josh

New RBAC Plug-In for Rails
Hi,
I just finished writing this plug-in. I''ve been using rails for awhile
but this is my first time extracting some code and writing it as a
plug-in and I''d love to hear to some feedback. Thanks.

Adit Asterisk Cabling Connundrum.
I am hoping to replace my Nortel 8x24 switch with
Asterisk. Right now my cabling comes from my outside
phone box into my office and into a punchdown block
and leaves the punchdown block as an amphenol
connector which currently plugs into the Nortel
swicth. A second amphenol connector them plugs into
the switch and extends to another punchdown block that
I believe carries the lines throughout the

NVDIMM sizes and DIMM hot plug
Hi,
I've found out that NVDIMM size and label size matter for regular
(non-NV) DIMM hot plug. If the NVDIMM is not aligned correctly, the
guest OS will not accept the hot plugged memory and will complain with
messages such as
Block size [0x8000000] unaligned hotplug range: start 0x225000000, size 0x10000000
The start address above is also reported within <memory> element of the

Re: Using hostdev to plug a PCI-E host device into Q35 pcie-root port
...Ie "root complex" (a.k.a. pcie.0) as well
as the dmi-to-pci-controller that is plugged into pcie.0 (because
pci-to-dmi controllers' slots don't support hot-plug).
This is done because, for now, almost all devices that qemu knows about
are PCI (no PCI-e) devices, and if we allowed plugging them into pcie.0
now, then on the day in the future when qemu begins enforcing the
difference between PCI and PCIe (currently it doesn't), the world would
be full of libvirt configs that would no longer work.
There was some discussion about this a month or two ago either on
libvir-list or mayb...

Using hostdev to plug a PCI-E host device into Q35 pcie-root port
Hello,
I'm trying to migrate a working qemu command line configuration to
libvirt.
The part I'm currently failing on is:
$ qemu-system-x86_64 -M Q35 ... -device vfio-pci,host=05:00.0,bus=pcie.0
The right way to translate this into libvirt XML seems to be using
<hostdev>, but I seem to be unable to plug it into the pcie-root port
This is how the interesting part looks like when

R search plug-in
Hi All:
I have written an R search plug-in based on Prof Jonathan Baron's R search site. This Firefox/Netscape plug-in lets you search R sites and R discussion group archives directly from your Mozilla (Seamonkey) or Firefox or Netscape browser. Here is the link to the installer for the plug-in:

plug pre-created tap devices to libvirt guests
...is also
possible to plug pre-created tap devices into libvirt guests - that
would be a requirement to allow kubevirt to run with less capabilities
in the pods that encapsulate the VMs.
I took a look at the libvirt code ([3] & [4]), and, from my limited
understanding, I got the impression that plugging existing interfaces
via `managed='no' ` is only possible for macvtap interfaces.
Would you be able to shed some light into this ? Is it possible on
libvirt-5.6.0 to plug pre-created tap devices to libvirt guests ?

Is there any plug-in (coloring, open declaration, etc) for Eclipse IDE
for these files?
If not, is there any interest to such plug-in?

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palmdevice application
Thanks a lot for your reply, Jean.

Your reply essentially means that there aren't any commercial speex plug-ins for Palm available, so the only option I do have is to write one. Actually I was thinking of that

they remain black and eventually enter standby.
I'm using a Lenovo P1 featuring a Quadro P1000 Mobile GPU. An integrated GPU
is wired to the internal display as eDP-1. The Nvidia card exposes an HDMI
port on the laptop. Plugging a monitor there directly usually works. Vie the
docking station, I get another 3 ports controlled by the Nvidia GPU. These are
either HDMI or DisplayPort. I have two monitors for experimentation, a Dell
one and a Lenovo one.
I'm running a Linux 5.2-rc5 kernel and the nouveau driver compiled...

OT: HOWTO: Create a 90mbit bonded link 600 metre s away with Cat 3 or telco wire [long]
I was given the challenge recently of creating a LAN-LAN bridge between two
buildings several
hundred metres from each other, using only existing Cat 3 wiring and without
having to resort
to an expensive and finicky 5 Ghz wireless link. I was able to create a 90
megabit link for
about $3,000 Cdn with new PC's, CentOS 4.1, and the newly avaliable Black
Box VDSL Ethernet
Extender, which

Any Speex plug-ins available for usage in a Palm device application
Hi all,
I'm new to the speex development mailing list, so I don't have much experience/idea about Speex.
I came to know about speex when I was working on a R&D for my application on Palm devices.
I've created a Pocket PC application, which is a talking phrasebook using .NET Compact Framework.
In this application I'm using a 3rd party MP3 plug-in for playing my MP3 files,

FLAC plug-in for Adobe Premiere
Hey everyone, I've written a FLAC plug-ing for Adobe Premiere. It's actually part of the Ogg Vorbis plug-in I originally set out to write. You can see it here on GitHub:

I just finished the first beta a few hours ago. You can download binary plug-ins from here:
