A plethora of problems related to crashes and drawing in AOM
A plethora of problems related to crashes and drawing in the game Age of Mythology Gold. A few of these problems didn't exist in earlier versions of wine. I haven't filed any of these as bug reports but wanted to put what I did find here so I wouldn't lose it. You need mfc42.dll in your System32...

Which is better? Microsoft Exchange 2016 or Linux-based SMTP Servers?

I thought this went > to the CentOS general discussion list. > I specifically meant setting up and running email services on linux is not for the feint of heart and delivers little real value considering the plethora of free and commercial email services available.

Using real windows drive
Newbie of course, and having trouble finding answers in the plethora of documents and forums. I can't seem to set up my config correctly so that my windows drives and cdrom are properly recognized by winefile. I put lines in for C - fake windows D- real windows E-cdrom P-Partition that has my windows based program files(this drive segfaults 139 depending on...

php-mcrypt extension
I see that there are a plethora of php extensions available as rpms, from the centos repositories, but not the php-mcrypt extension. I'm trying to stick to an rpm-only system and haven't found one that provides this, yet, for my 4.4 system. Is there any plan to add this to the repository in the near future (if at all)? D...

Cordless SIP Phones
Can anyone recommend a good cordless user-configurable SIP hardphone that is readily available in the states and doesn't cost $300? There seem to be a plethora of decent and affordable corded phones (like from Grandstream) but the search for a cordless unit seems elusive. I purchased a vtech 8100 online only to discover after receiving it that it is locked to vonage service. Thank you. Ed -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachmen...

MD5 to CRAM-MD5 password conversion?
We have a plethora of accounts for which we would like to enable CRAM-MD5 but their passwords are stored as MD5 hashes. Is there anything we can do? Can we take a linux MD5 hashed password (e.g. $1$fac330ee$wd6Tll...) and convert it to dovecot's CRAM-MD5 format (e.g. {CRAM-MD5}b3f297...)? Thanks!

More browsers!
I'm running CentOS 6 on one machine, plus my wife's. She's OK with it, but every time I use it, I miss the glorious plethora of browsers that Fedora has gotten me used to. I have epel and rpmfusion (both free and unfree) enabled; is there some other repo I can safely add? -- Beartooth Implacable, Curmudgeonly Codger Learning Linux On the Internet, you can never tell who is a dog -- supposing you care --...

How to import timestamps from emails into R

Any ideas on what may be the cleanest way? The only special concern is that I'll want to plot these data by date and time, meaning that I would rather not bin all of the occurrences from one day. The time zone isn't...

Astsee v0.1 released - an Asterisk channel monitor for linux/X windows
...worrying about the framework. Comments/questions welcome, but probably off-list is best unless they are usage questions that would benefit the community. Source isn't available currently, just a binary. I expect to release the source too, soon, but don't know for sure yet. There are a plethora of inadequacies rampant in this thing, YMMV, details about what works and what doesn't are on the page linked to above. This is more of a proof-of-concept release than even v0.1. Thanks for reading. I hope this provides a viable alternative to the great but seeming-to-be-not-updated gastm...

Analog FXO or IAX DIDS for new facility?
...a mix of SIP handsets and softphones. I am confused about one thing: Should we be getting a block of analog circuits from the local telco (probably AT&T), connected to the server's FXO cards for in-bound and out-bound POTS calls; or should we get a block of DIDS numbers from one of the plethora of providers available over the Internet, and then have our server connect POTS calls by IAX to the DIDS provider? We are unsure whether we are going to have separate numbers for everyone in the organization, or just 1 US phone number, with everyone in the org having their own extension number...

Kudos to the R support team
Hi there, I just wanted to take a quick second to thank everyone who maintains this service- just in case you don't hear it enough, there are a plethora of people who rely on this service (as evidenced by the help archives), and even if they don't say it, are greatly thankful for what you do here. Not only are you providing a service to people who are learning R, but indeed helping increase "R literacy". Soon, they'll be speak...

Ideally I would like to have a way to override the number of threads used by the linker. gold has a plethora of options for doing that, i.e. --thread-count COUNT Number of threads to use --thread-count-initial COUNT Number of threads to use in initial pass --thread-count-middle COUNT Number of threads to use in middle pass --thread-count-final COUNT Number of...

[LLVMdev] Register Spilling and SSA
...ardware to perform dynamic rescheduling and register renaming, which effectively replace these stack accesses with registers or access to fast cache. But, with upcoming architectures - particularly ones with a very large number of cores (e.g. something along the lines of Larrabee, or Ambric, and a plethora of others) - such hardware is too costly. As a result, needless stack activity consumes available memory bandwidth, which absolutely hammers instruction-level parallelism. I certainly agree that a fast default register allocator is the best strategy for LLVM, considering its main use. But it would...

The full model includes a large number of continuous (coded with rcs with 3 knots) and categorical variables, as well as a plethora of interactions between the categorical and continuous variables. Only one of the interactions between the binary variable and the other categorical or continuous variables is statistically significant. Can anyone offer a suggestion on what might explain this discordance?

Migrate CentOS 3 to 4 to 5?
Hi, After the previous debacle with PHP and MySQL it has been decided that we think about an upgrade from CentOS 3 to 5, since that would solve our problem, if successful. I tried finding information on how to best attempt this, but thanks to a plethora of contradictory information my head is now spinning with a few rpm (rounds per minute). The situation is as follows: Remote box at our host who offers CentOS 3 as the most up-to-date OS, unless you pay them an unholy amount of money for RHEL or Windows licences. Popping in a CD for an upgra...

Greetings im new to the list dovecot --version 2.0.13 ubuntu 11.10 i want to use dovecot to authenticate my ldap users. My local users can authenticate and send email. Using postfix sasl/tls dovecot pam. I have read many docs/tutorials, which all have a plethora of options and information. my file structure is different than most of the documentation. I have ../etc/dovecot.conf which points to. !include_try /usr/share/dovecot/protocols.d/*.protocol !include conf.d/*.conf !include_try local.conf which leads me to /etc/dovecot/conf.d, which is full of co...
