SIP and firewalls?
Hi We are currently using Asterisk 1.2.4 with IAX and app_meetme for conferencing, but are looking to move to SIP because of issues with an IAX control we're using. The reason we moved from SIP to IAX in the first place was because of the poor NAT traversal with SIP. At that stage we were using Asterisk 1.0.*. How does Asterisk 1.2.4 handle NAT traversal and firewalls compared to the older

mount problems during install
Hi there! I'm a very confident wine user and totally pleasured except this issue: When trying to install a program requiring more then one cd (in this case Soldier of Fortune 2) the installer asks me to change the cd, but as linux requires to unmount cds before they can be ejected and unmounting is not possible even by -forcing it because of the program on th...

ANN: new rails site/RoR praise
...xels for 1$ each on his homepage. After slamming my head during half an hour for not having thought of it [1], I thought I''d better spend some time on a rails project, and more as a therapy than in the hope to become a millionair, I put http://milliondollarweek.com in place. It was a real pleasure to see the implementation progress that fast: design the database schema, generate scaffold, adapt the scaffold, add an engine for authentication. In less than 24 hours the infrastructure was in place and I spent as much time on content and simple CSS as on development. So thanks rails for saving...

Design changes are done in Fedora
...ogant change with absolutely no regard for the existing Centos/RHEL users. That *is* a strange "design goal" (or 'objective' in English). Some may consider that "goal" an inadvertent omission. Obviously designed by non-Centos/RHEL users for their personal amusement and pleasure and not as an acceptable enhancement that could be implemented, perhaps in phases, within minimum disruption to existing systems reliant on stable Centos/RHEL. Yes, I know it takes brains to properly consider all the implications of major changes. On this occasion it seems the 'brains' wer...

Gallium driver and compatibility issues
...xisting versions of libglut*, libGLw*, libGLU*, libGL*, libEGL* or not - that does not make any difference. The center of the problem is nouveau_dri.so and nothing else. Could it please be possible to modify this driver file so that it does NOT continue to break existing applications?? Would be a pleasure! Cheers Uwe

echo cancellation test problem on Windows OS.
...es as followed. http://www.vdream.co.kr/temp/ec/echocancel.wmv ( testing screen capture file ) http://www.vdream.co.kr/temp/ec/echocancel.zip ( test files ) The reason why echo still remains is that speaking signal from sound device differs from speaking signal from file, I guess. It's my pleasure to see my testring files. Thanks in advanced.
