chicken/egg between pipefs and initramfs/hotplug

Apparently modprobe and other programs need a pipe and pipefs isn't mounted until later on in do_basic_setup()/do_initcalls(). That means that linux/fs/pipe.c:static struct vfsmount *pipe_mnt; isn't initialized and blows up when it's derefernced in linux/fs/pipe.c:get_pipe_inode(). Has this been discussed before? Is there something that usersp...

NFSv4 on CentOS 5.5
Hi, What is the magic juju that I have to put in /etc/sysconfig/autofs to get autofs to default to using NFSv4, rather than NFSv3, for mounting file systems? I don't want to place these flags into the automount maps themselves because we have a varied network with Sun, CentOS, RedHat and Macintosh systems, and the flags that have to get added to automount maps (which we distribute centrally

Winbind with krb5auth for trust users
Hi, I'm having trouble realizing a krb5auth with pam_winbind with trusted domain users (external trust) on our clients. The client is joined to a local domain, which has a "external trust" to a global domain. The following things are working for all users (local and trusted domain): "wbinfo -i" "wbinfo --pam-logon" "wbinfo -a" "kinit"

skeleton for initramfs archive
Hello Is there a skeleton for an initramfs, like mkinitrd do for an initrd? An archive where all I could need for my initramfs could be present, with a shell script ready to fill in with my work to be done. Thanks Eurolines : Voyagez au meilleur prix : http://www.alinto.com/pub/
