Why using usecallerid=no?
...e
zapata.conf usecallerid set to no. I didn't have the answer.
I understand what the usecallerid keyword does but I'm talking about a
actual situation that is interesting to to avoid receiving the caller id.
Thanks in advance!

'Traditional' Faxing
...I can do this in Asterisk that will work seamlessly?
I have not yet purchased any hardware, so recommendations would be greatly
appreciated.
(I believe some of the problem exists due to timing, does any hardware; E1
card / Analogue card; support linking a timing signal together?)
Sangoma, Digium, Pika?
Thanks all for any help on this one.
Greg.

So the TOS field doesn't take the value from TOS of encapsulated packet.
Is this a bug or I do something wrong?

Asterisk large-scale deployment w/analog phones
I would recommend that you look at the Pika Technologies Daytona MM
board. It has onboard DSP and onboard analog bridging taking up much
less horsepower. Please contact me off-list if you would like more

Hello,
I have a problem with rsync and hard links :

Need fax solution for 1.4.xx
Anybody know a reliable fax solution for 1.4.30 branch?
I am using PikaFax on another server and works very well (about 3000 faxes
a week), but it appears they no longer offer their product to open source
asterisk, only for there "WARP" appliance.
NOT really looking to migrate from 1.4.x to 1.6.x

Bayonne and Asterisk
All,
is anyone using Bayonne in conjunction with Asterisk? I'm currently using
only Bayonne, but I'm investigating the possibilities of switching the
telephony frontend over to Asterisk, and have Asterisk route the IVR tasks
to Bayonne through H323.
Anyone care to share his views on this approach? Any pointers or do's and
don'ts? All info is greatly appreciated!

[AAF] acts_as_ferret 0.4.0 released
Hi folks!
Just wanted to let you know that I released aaf 0.4.0 on last weekend.
Besides the DRb server it also includes a new lazy loading feature that
lets you do ferret searches without actually loading any records from the
DB. Useful e.g. for live searches:
model:
class MyModel
acts_as_ferret :fields => { :title => { :store => :yes }, :content => {} }
end

...for example OpenVox D410P, that will
work. When it comes to the Digium cards I can't say but Digium sales
should be to tell you which one (5.5V or 3.3V or none of them). I am
sure their cards do work, as would several other manufacturers cards
(don't have the experience with them yet). E.g. PIKA says: "Slot
Requirements: Standard x86 PCI Half-size Slot (Compatible with PCI-X
slot)" for their PIKA for Asterisk T1/E1 PCI card. So that should work.

I would say - kind of forget about the 2 half height PCI Express slots
as AFAIK no one is providing half-height E1/...

Need ISDN call generator
Hi
To troubleshoot FreeBSD panics triggered by ISDN load on an asterisk system,
we are looking to buy an ISDN call generator/simulator device.
The minimum requirements include:
- Not too expensive
- PRI support (BRI support is a plus)
- CCS+CRC4 farming + HDB3 coding
- EuroISDN (DSS1) support.
- A minimum of 4 ports (120 channels/concurrent calls)
- Compatibility with Digium cards.
- DUT in TE

ISDN
Hi,
I'm in the process of setting up Asterisk in a SOHO environment using ISDN for trunking. More specifically a BRI 2B+D circuit where one SPID is used for the business and the other is used for personal. The circuit already exists, but is presently being interfaced to POTS phones via a TA.
This configuration is not very common in the US, but we are fortunate that our LEC offers it price

FXS card with 3-way call, transfer and call waiting.
...fer* keyword in zapata.conf will affect
this behavior?
Supposing my idea of transferring is right, does this can have conflicts
with #2 feature (attendant transfer) ? Both features (#2 and flash) can live
together?
Thanks in advance!

Free T1 Card?
Gang,
I recall several months ago that there was a company that was giving
away a free 1-port T1 card, with some specific conditions. Do any of
you recall who that was? My Google searches are coming up empty and now
I'm wondering if I was hallucinating...
Thanks,
MC

FSK UK Problems
Hi,
I'm currently having problems detecting FSK BT (UK) caller id in our API
(Pika boards).
I have a recording to test on but it is giving me checksum errors.
I'm wondering if someone from UK using BT lines could send me a recording
with the FSK signal so I can have more data to work on? If you have
something, please send it to paulo.astuser at gmail.com.
I appreciate all...

Broadsoft - Asterisk interop

Digium for partnership but neither Digium or asterisk are mentioned in
the Broadsoft partners page
