Image into Excel file from R
Hi useRs,
I would like to know what R users are employing to get their
images/plots created in R, into Excel sheets.
I am aware of the various packages (xlsReadWrite, RODBC) to get data
frames into R, but I would like to copy images too.
Thank you for any help in solving this problem.

Reading a TIFF file
Dear all, I have been trying to speed up a process we have been done in ArcGIS. We have to read a single layer TIFF (monochrome image) in . For this, I have used the "rtiff" package. After reading the TIFF file, I compared the raw values for each pixel that I have in ArcGIS to the ones obtained in R. strange display problems with configuring and running wine
...ded up with a odd problem. My screen went crazy and when I took a screenshot after a while it looked like this:
[Image: http://www.saunalahti.fi/hotti/pics/pic1.png ]
when in reality what I would see on my screen is this (picture taken with my camera):

if I run winecfg AGAIN after restarting my X server with ctrl-alt-backspace it works fine and no trouble. BUT when I try to run the game I wanted to try, the game works but the screen is distorted again.
I tried reinstalling wine with no luck so the problem must lie somewhere else. I'm...
