Deploying Solaris on Xen via jumpstart
...all succeeded although I got some strange warnings during install:
X_small.cpio.bz2 is not a bzip2 file:
file ./Tools/Boot/X_small.cpio.bz2
./Tools/Boot/X_small.cpio.bz2: data
bunzip2 X_small.cpio.bz2
bunzip2: X_small.cpio.bz2 is not a bzip2 file.
On the first server (Asus barebone Pundit P3-Ph4) I did the install, the system was booting correctly after install but no ip address was assigned via DHCP on my E1000g0 interface.
Also A s soon I enabled the xen kernel in menu.lst and rebooted my system a kernel back trace was all I got ... Booting in save mode did work ...
I had the same beha...

Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list.
I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without
modifications.
How did I try it?
Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock )
Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee
prep-out.log
The build failed at the end:
