Sorry to be a pest, but -- pull request nag: 6654, PostgreSQL auto-reconnect fix
So that I can know there is test coverage on this in the Rails core, and I won''t have to maintain a private monkey-patch indefinitely, fixing it again every time it''s broken in a new and different way up-stream, I''m hoping to get this pull request accepted some day... ... or rejected in an informative manner, if that''s more appropriate.

Security exploit downloaded with FLAC?
As is my routine every couple of weeks, I ran Pest Patrol anti-spyware software, and was disturbed to find it came back saying that the file FLAC/COPYING.FDL was a security exploit known as "Virus Tutorial" or VTool/jul2. This has left me wondering if FLAC is to be trusted. Here's what PestPatrol's web site has to say about it: Exploit: A way of breaking into a system. An

You disappear for five weeks...
And someone goes and redesigns the look and operation of the Trac. Quite noice, but a couple of comments: * The main toolbar ("Wiki", "Documentation", "Timeline") ends up under the puppet logo on the left hand side, which is a pest. * I can''t click on any link, text box, or button in the main part of the page. All of the navigation links work fine, and I

clarification needed: $ in machine name?
Hello, Sorry to be a pest, but I need to try to get some clarification of how the machine name works when setting up a machine account on the Samba server. The Samba How-To page http://us3.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/samba-pdc.html#id2536400 talks about the "common error" of including the $ in the machine name on the server machine. However, all of the

substituting level for NA in factor column
Greetings I have a bunch of NAs in a column of categorical variables designating the size classes (e.g., smallest to largest: 1,2,3,4) of cave crickets. I'd like to substitute "U" (for unknown) for the NAs. Can anyone give me an idea how to do this? Thanks in advance. RTP Payload Format for the Speex Codec
Congrats JM. You certainly deserved to get the payload format approved. If I'm not being too much of a pest, I was wondering how close Speex 1.2 is to being a full-fledged release. I know that your focus these days is on CELT (and I'm glad for that) but I was wondering if you had any plans for any real changes or fixes to Speex in the near term. For my project I make a lot of changes

Win98 stange behaviour in 2.2.6
I posted a rather lengthy message a few weeks ago. Andrew B and Jerry both responded with indications of furthers investigation required....i was wondering if anyone found anything strange because I've had to go back to 2.2.5 to support those clients and with a bit of fear of potential strange behaviour in my XP clients. Don't wish to be a pest, but you guys have done so much for our

Update to website not printing special Characters
...en I went back to phpMyAdmin and entered new text the problem was the same, but reversed. What now happens is that the original text I typed is now converted to gibberish(Latin1 to UTF8) and new text entered, in phpMyAdmin, is output to website as "?" again See:- http://donsgarden.co.uk/pests/228?telephone=2 What I did, as I could not change the server Craracter_set and Collation (Shared Server). I got my host to change everything back to Latin1. I was going to change my w/site meta line to ISO 8859-1. From connecting to my database via ssh I got:- mysql> show variables like '&...

Months in alphabetical order rather than chronological order in graph
Greetings Though I have months in chronological order in my data table, the data were sampled every other month (i.e., February, April, June, August, October, December), every time I try to plot them (on the x-axis) they are plotted in alphabetical order. What am I missing? Cheers Kurt *************************************************************** Kurt Lewis Helf, Ph.D. Ecologist EEO

A Way to Write DTMF Digits as text to CDR?
I've gotten my CDR working the way I like, but I am looking to customize it a bit. I have set up an IVR menu, which works great. I would like to be able to capture the prompted DTMF digits pressed by callers, to my CDR database but I don't see any AGI or Asterisk commands that allow one to customize the CDR contents. Am I thinking about this on the wrong track? If someone calls sales
