DOES NOT PERTAIN TO DOVECOT: Does anyone use postfix for some help?
When mail is sent from the mail server, it shows up as originating from the MAIN ip address of the server, 173.50.101.11, when the mail server is bound to 173.50.101.12. I have already set smtp_bind_address: 173.50.101.12 in main.cf and 173.50.101.12:smtp inet - - smtpd in master.cf. This prevents smtp connects TO any other ip but 173.50.101.12 BUT mail STILL shows up originating from eth1,

Issue with Samba4 and Active Directory 2008R2
We are attempting to connect a RHEL 6.8 server running Samba4/Winbind to a Windows 2008R2 Active Directory. We can make the connections, see the server in the "computers" section of the AD. We have been able to establish valid Kerberos connections and can establish a trust relationship. When we run the wbinfo utility we are able to retrieve group information, information

variable type assignment in daisy
Dear Rhelp,   I did a daisy on 5 lifestyle variables, 3 of which were nominal and 2 were ordinal and assigned types “nominal” and “ordinal” for the variables, respectively.  I got an output indicating their types as “I” for interval(?). Doing it on the Rdata example “flower” gave the same types in the output as the types they were assigned to.  Why is this so? Below are the codes and outputs.

Logwatch
Having FC3 systems and utilizing Dovecot, I have come to rely on some of the information I get from the daily logwatch run. Logwatch, by default, doesn't properly recognize dovecot's information in the messages file, but it is easy to tweak. The patch below will give you some statistics regarding POP3 and IMAP usage. I believe I grabbed all of the differences in the unified diff

Dropped calls when all DAHDI lines in use
Hello, I am running Asterisk 11.17 with DAHDI 2.9.0 and an OpenVox A800P with 8x analog POTS lines coming into my Asterisk server from the phone company. Internally, I have about 180 SIP clients defined in sip.conf. What appears to be happening is that if existing calls are consuming all 8 external lines and a new SIP client attempts to make a call, an existing call gets dropped. The asterisk

OpenSSH 2.5.2p1 - What has changed since 2.5.1p
Pardon the novice question here, but after the problems I had with trying to get 2.5.1p(whatever) to install on one of my systems, I noticed with great interest the release of 2.5.2p1. When I checked out the change log for this releases RPM, there was nothing pertaining to what has changed between 2.5.1p and 2.5.2p. I didn't see anything on the OpenSSH web site regarding changes between

Embedding R in C application
To whom it may concern, I am very interested in embedding the R functionality in our application. This is a C application that currently runs on Win32, but will also run on Linux in the future. From the material that I have seen, I need R compiled as a shared library to evaluate R expressions from C. Is this correct? If so, can I download this shared library from somewhere? Is there any API

PR#1132.
Just now I again had occasion to want nested describe lists in a documentation file. I found that the bug which I reported on 18 October, 2001 still persists. I checked on the bug report at the R web page, and found that the notes say ``Not a problem in R 1.4.0 (2001-12-08)''. Well, it's still a problem for me --- using R 1.4.1. Ruby/Rails TextMate macros
Could someone kindly send me a copy of the TextMate macros that pertain to Ruby and Rails? I am assuming they are stored in or can be exported to some kind of plain text file... Sadly I am not yet able to make the leap from Linux (and Windows) to a Mac and I am using Slickedit, which has *zero* built in support for Ruby/Rails. I can add macros and code templates so I thought it might be

'winbind use default domain' doesn't appear to work with ntlm_auth
Hi Rowland, I did enable NTLMv1 to provide necessary support for pppd for PPTP VPN connections and that's working as expected. I however do not find any release notes pertaining to 'winbind use default domain = yes' no longer working on a Samba DC. The Samba man pages appear to detail options which apply to winbindd (https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/manpages/winbindd.8.html),

Listing Variables
How does one create a vector whose contents is the list of variables in a dataframe pertaining to a particular pattern? This is so simple but I cannot find a straightforward answer. I want to be able to pass the contents of that list to a "for" loop. So let us assume that one has a dataframe whose name is Data. And let us assume one had the height of a group of people measured at

Anyone actively using RLT for mobile phone forwarding?
Hello, We currently have a scenario where a large percentage of inbound calls on a telco PRI are intended for professors who aren't currently in their offices/at their desks. My question is, is anyone actively using the Asterisk "RLT" (Release Link Trunking) feature to bounce these sorts of calls back to the telco? The idea being to forward the call to their mobile phone without

Very slow initial opening MS-Word and MS-Excel files from Samba
The first time a Word or Excel file is opened, i.e., when either Word or Excel have not been actively running "recently" (like, say for several minutes or more), the time it takes to start the application and load the file seem inordinately long. Once the first evolution is complete, files open more-or-less instantly if I close the first document but leave either app running (but
