[LLVMdev] Vector LLVM extension v.s. DirectX Shaders
Dear all: To write a compiler for Microsoft Direct3D shaders from our hardware, I have a program which translates the Direct3D shader assembly to LLVM assembly. I added several intrinsics for this purpose. It's a vector ISA and has some special instructions like: * rcp (reciprocal) * frc (the fractional portion of each input component) * dp4 (dot product) * exp (exponential) * max, min These

file permissions
...ct? If I chmod 760 Mail/folder/* (then the new emails show in dovecot without the access error) It appears mail comes to the INBOX fine just not individual folders On the initial access, dovecot gets a "missing +r perm" or "+x" in the log. 1: What permission structure should permeate my Mail dir? 2: What might affect the incoming mail file getting wrong permissions/ownership? I'm thinking the later may be a procmail issue unless it is related to initial incorrect permissions? Thanks for any insight. -Walt

Access problems whit NT4 PDC and samba 3
Hi List, I installed Samba 3.0.0beta3 on RH 8. I'm trying to make a shared directory so I can access from M$ machines using NT users ( from my PDC ). I got to join the Domain and I can see the users from my domain (in the Linux), I can even login as one... I used the RTFM "Samba-HOWTO-Collection" to do this... But I can't open the shared directory, not from any M$ client (or

Seeking Rails Developers in Bay Area (Marin County)
...om both the Golden Gate and Richmond bridges right off Hwy 101, making us within easy 20-30 minutes reach of San Francisco, East Bay, and North Bay. We enjoy all the benefits of being a startup in the SF Bay Area while remaining a comfortable distance from the reality distortion field that tends to permeate SOMA and South Bay. CONTACT INFORMATION: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Corte Madera, CA. With a small team, we can be generous with equity. We also offer full benefits including health, 401(k), and more. We strongly prefer candidates who already live in the SF Bay Area, but we...

You'll see that this is not an LLVM trend, but a world wide trend and that's not a bad thing. It is, and I wholeheartedly agree,...

Vorbis press
...er than that--independent scenes try in vain to exclude the masses from ruining their little parties, and technology firms and record companies sign exclusive deals with each other. In this day and age, it's impossible--and even counterproductive--to continue the exclusionary mentality that has permeated the record industry up to this point. There are too many new approaches being taken to limit music distribution to just one method. Likewise, it no longer makes sense to exclude fans from accessing music the music they want, since they're going to get what they want whether or not the labels...
