Sweave and printing error
Hi the list.
I am writing a tutorial for my student using LaTeX and sweave. I include
some example that work (obiously) but I would also like to include some
example that do NOT work (for pedagogie)...
Is it possible ?
At this point, I find that :
- if there is a error in the code, Sweave stop
- if I put the error in try(), Sweave compile but does not print the
error as output.
Any solution ?
Thanks a lot

OK, that's what Audacity does, but unfortunately the version I've tried
breaks with big files (it shouldn't however because it cuts work files
in many small chunks)

Patch for #3438: Eager loading doesn''t respect :order of associations
Hello all,
I still have a patch for #3438 (eager loading doesn''t respect
association orders); it passes all unit tests, and has additional unit
tests with full coverage. The patch is attached.
== The Bug ==
Author.find(1).posts != Author.find(1, :include => [:posts]).posts
if Author has_many :posts, :order => anything.
This means that either one must avoid eager loading or

Geoplan/Geospace almost works...
Hi.
I'm a math teacher, and I would like to use Geoplan/Geospace under wine
(http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=4002).
Problem is, the (non modal) dialog box behave badly. For example, as
explained on the db page, the window can't be selected, no mouse action
on it does anything, and worse, the property dialog can't be opened
without crashing the

simple TOS based setup vs more complex ones
Hi,
After reading section 9 of LARTC it seemed to me that a pure TOS based QoS setup with be sufficient for a small newtork. Interactive packets could have the highest priority, second highest for DNS and small HTTP packets and lowest prio for all others.
The advantage is that, the setup would be simply a couple of iptables lines, because the default pfifo_fast qdisc already implements

how to cut very big mp3s ?
Hi there,
maybe someone here could help me solve my problem.
I've streamed two complete days of a congress
using DarkIce and IceCast, but now I want to cut
the mp3 files in parts, a part per speaker.
I've actually got four mp3 files, one for each morning
and afternoon, but each is several hundreds megabytes
long (128 Kbits/s stereo)
Is there any tool available which would allow me to

Does anyone know where I could get text file with the code from the
famous video where they create a Weblog in 15 minutes -- The one that''s
here: href="http://rubyonrails.com/screencasts?
