Asterisk and Sirrix PCI4S0 echo cancellation
Hi guys,
I'm running a Sirrix PCI4S0 quad BRI card in a box with Asterisk CVS-HEAD (20050614).
Something I've come across is that with 'echocancel = yes' in /etc/asterisk/sirrix.conf the echo is unbearably loud - so loud in fact that the echo distorts.
To remedy this I've set 'echocancel = no' and disabled the...

Polycom SoundPoint IP 500 + X100P + Sirrix PCI4S0 + Conrad HFC-S cards
Hello!
I am selling hardware I have been using in various Asterisk test
installations.
If you are interested in buying all or any of the following items please
reply off list.
I got a few
* X100P clones
* Sirrix PCI4S0 ISDN BRI cards (+ 1 Sirrix S0 voltage/power supply)
* 1 Polycom Soundpoint IP 500 (+ Plantronics headset)
* Conrad HFC-S cards
to give away.
Some of the pieces are unused, some have already been used, but all of
them are perfectly working.

Sirrix ISDN Card
How do I test if the card is working or not ? Is there something that I can
do
to get a response from the card ?
Ive put the card in, installed drivers ect but can't dial out and can't see
a
response when I try dial in from external number.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Shaun

ISDN Hardware
I have a test install set up as follows
Grandstream 102 ---- Asterisk ---- X100P ---- Adtran Express 3000 ---
ISDN line to PSTN
Most things I want to do work fine except I do have some intermittent
problems with an echo. I am assuming that this is created in the link
between the X100P and the Adtran terminal adaptor.
I am not sure of the proper terms but on the PSTN side of the Adtran
there is

North American voice BRI - Informal survey
Hi, folks:
I remain intrigued by the gap in BRI implementation between North
America and Europe, and I wanted to get feedback from the list members
on the matter. I'm seriously considering making the leap in our office.
In Europe, the idea that an office that does not have enough lines to
justify PRI would use analog lines is perceived as technologically
backwards, and yet that's what
