Dears All, I have used rsync on Cygwin for a long time to backup data on my WinXP laptop to a NAS server. Several days ago I had a problem with my user account on the Laptop and I needed to create a new account and delete the old one. Hi all, I've been working on setting up a samba domain per department here based on a central ldap server with some sucess. I've setup samba using a mysql passdb, which works fine. I've also been able to get the samba domains to trust, and be trusted by an nt 4 domain without any problems. So everthing appears to be ok.... What I'd like to be able to do is to get AD domains

Hi, I am in dire need of some help. I have no problems connecting to shares with my W95/98 clients, but big problems with W2K. The same username / password is used on both the PC and SAMBA (and NIS - I am using Soalris 2.7 for my SAMBA server). When I try to connect to a share from the W2K client, I get the message "Access Denied". I have looked set nmbd / smbd to run at debug level 9
