Software caused connection abort
Dears All, I have used rsync on Cygwin for a long time to backup data on my WinXP laptop to a NAS server. Several days ago I had a problem with my user account on the Laptop and I needed to create a new account and delete the old one. Fortunately my data were on a separate partition (fat32) so I did not lose anything. Now when I try to use rsync again on the same data I always get the

Samba 3 trusts with ad.
Hi all, I've been working on setting up a samba domain per department here based on a central ldap server with some sucess. I've setup samba using a mysql passdb, which works fine. I've also been able to get the samba domains to trust, and be trusted by an nt 4 domain without any problems. So everthing appears to be ok.... What I'd like to be able to do is to get AD domains

Crash with Cygwin version
Anyone else have this problem? ??? **** If I rsync a directory from a cygwin PC (invoked on the PC) to a unix server through ssh, the first time all works fine, then if I do it again and there are no copys it crashes on the PC. If I touch one file on the PC so it copys at least one file then all is OK. I have the latest cygwin installed with freshly installed win2000 build 5.00.2195, and

W2K problems
Hi, I am in dire need of some help. I have no problems connecting to shares with my W95/98 clients, but big problems with W2K. The same username / password is used on both the PC and SAMBA (and NIS - I am using Soalris 2.7 for my SAMBA server). When I try to connect to a share from the W2K client, I get the message "Access Denied". I have looked set nmbd / smbd to run at debug level 9
