[User-Question] Xen 4.2 compilation hangs at stubdom directory
Hello all,
I know that here is not the best place to ask such a question but I
think that it''s eventualy a problem of the source.
I want to create deb packages of Xen 4.2 for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. So I
created an build environment with pbuilder, installed all dependencies
and startet the compilation of Xen.
So now the problem is that the compilation hangs without any reason in

[ANNOUNCEMENT] cran2deb: 1700+ new Debian / R packages
Announcing cran2deb: 1700+ Debian packages from almost all of CRAN
------------------------------------------------------------------
Last Friday's presentation at UseR! 2009 was the first really public mention
of 'cran2deb'. It provides Debian packages of all of CRAN. It started as
Charles' project from last year's Google Summer of Code, was further extended
by us over the

Cannot build cluster_1.9,6 under R 2.0.0 beta Sep 21
Doing the normal build process [1] for a first time with a R 2.0.0 snapshot
-- the Sep 21 version I uploaded to Debian's 'experimental' section two days
ago, ended in failure. The package in question is cluster 1.9.6 which should
be 2.0.0-ready.

debian-xen git workflow
Hi Ian, team,
In the week of Feb 23 (time flies!:), we had a very productive day
\o/ working on the stretch security/stable package and some irc
discussions in oftc #debian-xen which ended with an open end.
Ian, you were a bit surprised that 1) my debian-xen repo started with an
import of a 4.8 package 2) it was not a git-pbuilder style repo with
upstream source included, and asked me to at

R 2.4.1 packages built for unstable and testing
R 2.4.1 was announced earlier, and I uploaded Debian packages to the main
Debian host from which they should migrate to the mirrors as usual.
With testing frozen for the upcoming Debian 4.0 release, these packages will
not make it into testing. It so happens that there is a current bug in one
of the packages tetex depends upon, so I had to build these R 2.4.1 Debian
packages on testing as the

R CMD javareconf in r-base-dev 2.6.0
Hi Dirk, hi list,
I just ran into a slight problem while building the recommended packages
for CRAN in a chroot environment against the fresh backport of your R
2.6.0 packages. It seems that R CMD javareconf wants to change files in
/etc/R during the build, and since I am not building the packages as
root in my etch chroot, this fails, even if I am using fakeroot. My
workaround was to simply

Asterisk in Debian/Lenny without Junghanns.net support?
Hi!
Asterisk in Debian/Lenny claims to be bristuffed, not? At least the
the Debian patch tracking system shows the bristuff-patches:
[1] http://bit.ly/bRRHe7
We have a QuadBRI-Card and recently needed support from Junghanns.net
but they refused telling us there is no bristuff installed because of
the show version output:

pv-grub removed ?
Hi all,
I use xen-4.0.1 from unstable repository (built from the source with
pbuilder) and I can't find pv-grub on my hard disk.
I don't find anything related to this in changelog nor on the web.
Anyone knows how to find and use pv-grub on debian ?
Thanks

Breakage on Debian unstable, be careful with upgrades
...d
to say thanks to Ben, ChenLiang and Johannes for living on the 'Debian
unstable' edge so that us testing users can sleep soundly :) I hope this will
be fixed soon in zlib1, else I will make a custom 2.10.1-3 with internal zlib
as this will also affect our ability to create r-cran-* in the pbuilders.
FWIW the 'good' zlib1g is version 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15, the bad one in unstable
is 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-2.
Regards, Dirk

Problems with AGI and existing channel
Hi,
"Asterisk 1.8.10.0-1digium1~squeeze built by pbuilder @ nighthawk on a x86_64 running Linux on 2012-03-08 23:05:09 UTC"
We have some problem when running a AGI script (build with PHP), existing channels (all of them) gets a "hickup" and then continues.
We are using AGI to lookup incoming calls in directory.
It is kinda annoying, and I don't understand how it can be

Hi Dirk,
Thanks for the explamnayion - Debian is running in a VM (and nothing really installed on it) , and I think the easiest is for me just to install Debian 10 and to use that one.
Thanks a lot,
Rainer

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hi Thomas,

Yes, we use pbuilder-dist for this. We are providing backports of
related packages including liquidsoap, silan (a new silence detector
application), and libopus0, as well as Airtime itself.
