Wierd ZFS interaction with sudo?
I''ve just installed express b28 on my system. After installing, I decided to move /opt to a zfs pool home/opt. After installing Blastwave''s latest sudo, I did my usual edits of sudoers. When I attempted to execute sudo ls to test things I got this: rtfm:/opt/csw/etc:>sudo ls sudo: /opt/csw/etc/sudoers is owned by gid 1, should be 0 But /opt/csw/etc/sudoers permissions

one-sample binomial test
Hi everyone, Here's how I solved a problem for my stats class. I'm pretty sure I understand what's going on, but I wonder if there's a more direct way to solve it. Problem summary: A recent poll indicated that Candidate A is leading B with 55% of the vote. How many voters need to be surveyed to ensure a margin of error of +/- 2.5% with 99% confidence. Here's what I did:

Sorry if I upset you, but you posted a smb.conf from an Samba AD DC and in most cases, the smb.conf you get from the provision is all you need. when wbi...

Hiya, I've run into a problem on a Samba 4.5.8 active directory domain controller. The domain controller seems to work to authenticate against (I have a couple of domain members). However wbinfo throws an error when used locally. My configs are posted at the bottom of the page. # wbinfo -t checking the trust secret for domain SMC via RPC calls succeeded # wbinfo -u <list of domain

I have asked for help on a specific topic (and yes, I know what the world outside x86 looks like, thank you very much) - if you are unwilling/unable to provide it, please move along, there is nothing to...

Ice 0.3 cannot connect to Icecast2
I've set up Icecast2 and IceS 0.3 (the version I'm told is better for mp3 streaming, which is what I want to do), but I can't figure out why IceS can't connect to Icecast2. Icecast2 starts with no complaints, and a portscan shows that it has opened the default port I've set it to (8000). However, IceS says it can't connect to it (both Icecast2 and IceS are on the

Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a Bug Report
Hi, there. While waiting for the encoder RC1, I will report some minor problems I experienced with Peter's Winamp decoder. First, I am using Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v.1.11a with Winamp v.2.76 on Windows 98 SE. 1. When the buttons of Playlist Editor are extended, the part extended in playlist screen seems to be flickering when an Ogg file is being played. 2. I check the option of

FW: Adding OpenBSD sudo to the FreeBSD base system?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 I really do not agree with adding it to the base system. Just because you guys use sudo does not mean other people do. In fact many people do not have a use for sudo at all. Not every one gives out root accounts. You are only adding another utility In that can possibly be used to escalate privileges. Every time I secure a system I spend some time

Coefficients of Logistic Regression from bootstrap - how to get them?
Hello all, I am trying to optimize my logistic regression model by using bootstrap. I was previously using SAS for this kind of tasks, but I am now switching to R. My data frame consists of 5 columns and has 109 rows. Each row is a single record composed of the following values: Subject_name, numeric1, numeric2, numeric3 and outcome (yes or no). All three numerics are used to predict
