WINE and USB access
Hi All,
I am working with a local middle school to replace Windows PCs with Linux PCs.
I am new to this list but have been trying to use WINE for a while.
We have a major problem that we can't seem to figure out.
We are trying to use WINE with a software called Data Studio from Pasco Scientific ref: http://www.pasco.com/datastudio/home.html .
Pasco makes a scientific data probe, the Pasport Explorer, that connects to the PC via the USB port and can be used to measure various items such as temperature, pressure, etc.
The Data Studio software is a Windows software package that is...

Samba) may solve the problem. Which meen today at least one reboot every
day...
I am not sure this is due to Ext3 but the few information I found until
now let me think it can be related to it. Does any one here can help us
with this ?
Thanks,

Xen-unstable kernel panics on boot
...top this
reboot after the panic so that I can find out what is causing it?
I know about echoing things to proc to stop reboot / change the
amount of time before reboot, but since I''m not getting far enough to
have a proc filesystem, this doesn''t help me.
Thanks,

How to reach listeners behind corporate firewall
Hi,
I know two solutions for that.
1. You set up icecast to broadcast on the 80 port (there's a <port> tag
in the xml). If you run a webserver on the same machine, then you can't
do this.
2. If you run a webserver on the 80 port, you can set up the webserver
to relay the stream through it. If you use apache, you need something
like this in your httpd.conf:
<VirtualHost

Check feed connected, active - IceCast 2.4.x
Here can take a look other alternative:
https://github.com/cdgraff/icecast-mon
We base our solution in avprobe/ffprobe, this test like a real listener.
Feedback is welcome! this is just first release, but we use on production.

Modified slave behavior?
With multiple relay slaves and a growing list of streams, I am looking
for ways to conserve bandwidth. The current behavior has each relay
slave "pulling" each stream from the master server. Is anyone working
on offering a modification to this behavior where the relay slaves will
only pull the stream from the master as needed? So the slave would
always be aware of the streams'

the Fedora team distribute as 3.0.2-3 is actually an unstable

Does anyone know if there is an RPM of Xen 3 stable for Fedora Core

Now, after e few hours/minutes, some smbd process go to uninterruptible

mean one or two reboot a day...
Any help on this ?

Add Printer Driver Wizard - does it work in 2.2.5pre1?
Hi,
I've just started toying with the idea of deploying a number of our printers
via samba. I'm trying to get the current HP device drivers for a HP 4+
(from HP's site) to upload. The workstations I am trying the upload from
are either running Win 2000 SP2 or Win XP Professional.
Using 2.2.5pre1, I can't convince a printer driver to upload using the Add

xmms plugin for ogg
Hi there,
As per my long winded tale yesterday, the link to the xmms plugin on
the site is a binary executable. Where can I get the source? I want to
get xmms going with ogg files on a FreeBSD box.
Thanks,
