extlinux troubles....
..., and you know it. The man page has no examples at all, and
'extlinux.txt' only has tiny, out-of-context snippets which assume the
hard disk you want to install upon is either hda or sda, and you know
that too. For a poster who insists on absolute perfection, I'm
shocked you find that paltry level of documentation adequate.

Mongrel Tuneup Guide: Questions
Hi!
I''ve been following the new mongrel tuneup guide (a huge thanks for
that btw) and here are my results. I''ve basically only gotten to the
point where I''m tuning up 1 mongrel because I suspect I have a
performance problem with my rails app.

I've upgraded to 4.5.12 : absolutely no difference. smbd consumes 100%
of CPU when writing or reading a paltry 100 MB/s. I'll try 4.6.x but
I'm desperate. I'll probably need to replace the server altogether (and
it's a PITA because it's 600 km away).

Resume not working
...g Gentoo Linux with Rsync 2.5.6_pre20021105_r1 on a Pentium II
machine. No proxys or anything weird.
Anyway, I think the program's great as is, but I figured in case this
was somehow vital information that you had been urgently wishing for
which had never been reported, I might as well send a paltry e-mail. My
guess is you know all about it.

LatencyTop
I see Intel has released a new tool. Oh, it requires some patches to
the kernel to record
latency times. Good thing people don''t mind patching their kernels, eh?
So who can write the equivalent latencytop.d the fastest? ;-)

File Systems - Which one to use?
We are looking at implementing a Linux box running samba in the near
future with about 1TB of disk online. The purpose of this box will be
for basic file and printer sharing needs. I am doing research on the
different journaling file systems avaible in RH 7.3 and up (ext3,
reiserFS, and JFS) and was wondering if anyone has had any real world
experience with them (mostly reiserFS and JFS) and

Prices of g729 codec
Hi, does anyone know the prices for g729 codecs from Digium? I sent an
email a while ago to them but haven't got any response so far.
Prices are per unit or volume?
Thanks,
