I tested a lot to get Word and Excel running when installed in a read-only directory. I am running wine 0.9.7 on Slackware 10.2 I was able to install our inhouse application with no problem [well i had to install some fonts to get it to display] but now it tells me that vbjet32.dll is needed. I attempted to install an X100P card but it was not correctly recognized by my Redhat 9 install. I had a test install running without any cards which was working great minus the outward dialing since no cards existed. Now that I have a card, I want to add it to the system.
