Read a text file into R with .Call()
...blem is that "mkChar" will make every foo string into a global CHARSXP cache. When I have a huge amount of file to read, the CHARSXP cache use too much memory. I do not know whether there is any other way to SET_STRING_ELT without the mkChar operation. I know I cam refer to the Biostrings pakcage's way of readDNAStringSet, but that is a bit complicated I have not full understood it. Any help will be appreciated!! Ge

screensaver in C7
I'm at the stage of poking at a C7 install in Vbox, and am struggling to figure out how to control the screensaver. there doesn't seem to be a gnome screensaver package (like there was in gnome2), and I can't find any installed packages that control it. gconf-editor doesn't have anything that looks promising... how does one control the screensaver in Gnome 3? thanks! -- ----

winbind pam trouble
I just looked over your previous messages. I think the best if that you setup sssd again, so keep the setup as it was. I just upgraded my sernet samba 4.2.7 to latest 4.2.9 And from that point i upped to 4.3.6 ( debian samba, a rebuild from debian sid to jessie ) This was without problems, but im not using sssd. Maybe someone with sssd knowledge can help more why you have sid differendes.

Proposal: Version-specific centos-release-xen-NN packages
...ts to maintain older versions of Xen to do so in parallel with the newer versions. = Proposal: Long term = Going forward, this is what I propose we aim for: * Have separate repos for each version of Xen; at the present, this means xen-44 and xen-46. * Have version-specific centos-release-xen-NN pakcages which will always point to that version of the repo. So centos-release-xen-44 will point to xen-44, centos-release-xen-46 will point to xen-46. Users in the "manual-upgrade" camp can install one of these versions, knowing that a simple "yum update" will never move them across...

Linux Distribution for Asterisk server use
